WASHINGTON (AP) — A judge on Wednesday ordered the State Department to begin producing within 30 days documents related to the Trump administration's dealings with Ukraine, saying the records were of obvious public interest.
The documents were sought under a Freedom of Information Act request by American Oversight, an ethics watchdog that investigates the administration. Any release of government documents could shed new light on President Donald Trump's efforts to prod his Ukrainian counterpart to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden, the matter at the heart of the Democrat-led House impeachment inquiry.

Another big muddy shoe drops on the floor. It looks like this ugly little scandal is not going to be quickly swept under the rug. Thius judge does not seem to be buying into the Trump administration's claim that a sitting president cannot be legally investigated. I am sure Trump will be tweeting us all about how bad this tonight

They are not going to wait 30 days to bitch, moan and filing a complaint. Tonight, Rachel Maddow is going to share with us her observations on today's legal proceedings in the Appeals Court where they asserted extreme executive privilege. Which may doom any more such antics from Trumpo the clown. If that is not slapped down with prejudice, we may see them trying to take this to the Supreme court, slowing everything down until that is settled. Or maybe not. Stay tuned for more of this three ring circus gone mad.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — More than two months before the phone call that launched the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, Ukraine's newly elected leader was already worried about pressure from the U.S. president to investigate his Democratic rival Joe Biden.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy gathered a small group of advisers on May 7 in Kyiv for a meeting that was supposed to be about his nation's energy needs. Instead, the group spent most of the three-hour discussion talking about how to navigate the insistence from Trump and his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, for a probe and how to avoid becoming entangled in the American elections, according to three people familiar with the details of the meeting.

They spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the diplomatic sensitivity of the issue, which has roiled U.S.-Ukrainian relations.
The meeting came before Zelenskiy was inaugurated but about two weeks after Trump called to offer his congratulations on the night of the Ukrainian leader's April 21 election.

I wonder if these guys would be amenable to testifying to the Democratic investigation?
I sense a great disturbance in the force.
