Turkey shoots down Russian Jet

In other news.
Israel trolled Turkey recently when they announced that Russian Su24 "invaded" their air space and was not shot down, because it was clearly an unintentional navigational mistake, Israeli simply contacted the pilot and he immediately left Israel.

I think the difference is that Russia kept doing it to Turkey. This wasn't a one-off, only the response was different this time.

How many times?

Where's the massive Russian response to this?

All this time we've been hearing about how Putin knows how to take care of tough problems and doesn't take any shit from anyone. Fuck with him, and you'll feel his shirtless wrath.

Well?

I guess it turns out that tough talk before anything happens isn't exactly the same as having to deal with an actual problem.

More than once, which is really all that's needed when committing acts of war against a NATO country.
I didn't know it was ok to dick and tell....

Anywho, tis funny how NATO hasn't exactly lined up behind the Turkey on this "Russian aggression".

Not really. Just because Putin and Ergodan are crazy-assed weirdos doesn't mean that the rest of NATO needs to let the crazy-assed weirdos run the show. Instead of lining up behind one of them, they can actually just sit back and say "Hey weirdos, how about trying to be a little bit less crazy? You asses".

But they're all dirty. That's the problem.

My understanding they did line up, enough to annoy Russia and keep appearance of lining up.

Erdogan said he would resign if there is a proof that Turkey buys oil from ISIS.
Translation from turkish to english "I will deny that Turkey buys oild from ISIS no matter what"

This just in:

ISIS beheads Russian Spy

http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/02/middleeast/isis-russian-beheading-claim/index.html

Oh Vladimir, what will you do now? Is the proper Russian phrase, "O, shitsky"?
You don't honestly believe it was a spy? And it's not the first time when ISIS executes russian "spies".
What is more interesting is an idiot commentator who keeps singing that ridiculous song about Russian forces not bombing ISIS.

But now it's a Thing. Now Putin has to either do something or at least tacitly admit to the rest of the world that he doesn't have the answers either. I mainly refer to American right wingers who have fallen in love with Putin because he "doesn't fuck around" and "he'll show that pussy Obama how to get things done."

And now that he's involved himself in this shit--the same shit that Obama's been wise to avoid--what will he do?

There's no realistic way to solve this thing--well there is, but the western world no longer has the stomach for it. And even if he wanted to go Total War, he doesn't have the capability. Or if Russia does have that capability, they can't afford it and it would be too much of a drain on their military resources.

How is that a thing now? The poor guy as two guys before him is not a russian spy but some idiot who joned the ISIS.
ISIS blew up a russian passenger plane, that was a thing but this is not.

Russia and Putin is not west.

I doubt Putin really cares too much what American right wingers think though. Has he done anything ever to try to impress American right wingers? <scratches head>

He's wandered around shirtless a lot and the right wingers have a number of closeted homosexuals in their ranks.

He hunts tigers. While I'm not a right winger I found that far more impressive PR than when W Bush shoveled manure at his ranch during photo ops.

Yes. One of the ways I waste my time is by reading different boards. Yahoo! is probably a good cross-section of the ignorant, and the righties that post there loooove Vladimir Putin. They compare him to Obama like a guy with an ugly girlfriend who watches nothing but Megan Fox movies. But it's not just the Yahoo! boards where this rightist admiration of Putin exists. We've seen it from guys like Hannity and other Fox News talking heads.

What Putin's doing in the ME is an attempt to flex muscle. It's an attempt to show his strength, particularly as opposed to Obama's perceived weakness. And, should he succeed, it is also a success for the American right--in their minds. And Putin would reap the positive press from it. But now he actually has to do something in the region. And it will turn out poorly.

Putin doesn't have to go to total war. He has Iranian forces and Hezbollah for ground support. With the US and probably the rest of NATO finally putting pressure on Turkey to get control of their Syrian border, ISIS pseudo Caliphate days are numbered. The oil money is drying up fast. If Turkey complies and slows down their aid to the crazies, SA and others will have a harder time supporting ISIS. So with Russia, Iran, Hezbollah squeezing out the 19 opposition/terror groups and the Kurd's squeezing them from the west, I would say that ISIS days will be numbered. Once they are denied any territory, they will loose much of their bling power. Not that they aren't trying to set up shop in Afghanistan, Libya, and Yemen...

There are also right wing preacher and other talking heads that have been praising Putin/Russia for their hostility to the LGBT community.
