All recent administrations loved debt, including Obama, Bush and Clinton, yes Clinton as well.
Debt is the only way to have "growth".

You should have mentioned Reagan under whose unpaid-for tax cuts and massive defense spending the debt quadrupled. The first time ever there was such a disregard for any long term effects. And tax cuts have never paid for themselves in GDP growth.
