I have been reading CNN.com and FOXNEWS.com front pages for the past few weeks, just to see if there really is a stark difference, and wow there sure is. CNN seems to always have something about how horrible Trump is and Fox seems to always have something about how terrible Hillary is. Fox currently has something up about Hillary being charged with perjury. Meanwhile CBS and NBC, who I had thought was the "liberal" sided one, has had stuff up about the olympics and look more like CBC or BBC.

It is fun to directly observe their biases, and its easier to see during the election time.

Ya, Fox has had Clinton a week away from getting dragged off to jail for the past few years. That's because the latest in the endless string of GOP Congressional investigations into her criminality and evil are totally going to find her guilty this time around. The smoking gun is right around the corner.

For the rest of them, Trump stories get viewers but there's nothing to say about Trump except how fucking stupid he is. When his policy positions are full of half-truths and outright lies and he's saying some embarrassing and ignorant statement three times a week and then doubling down on it when challenged about it, there isn't really a way to give a non-negative story about the man. They may want to remain impartial and objective, but they can't do that by giving him a pass on the things that he says and does.

Everyone's got their (own) private, lil' filter.....typically the differences between Beliefs, and (actual) Knowledge.....Beliefs being the most-convenient; obviously.

"We form our beliefs for a variety of subjective, personal, emotional, and psychological reasons in the context of environments created by family, friends, colleagues, culture, and society at large. After forming our beliefs we then defend, justify, and rationalize them with a host of intellectual reasons, cogent arguments, and rational explanations.

Beliefs come first, explanations for beliefs follow."

....And, everyone knows who's still looking-for-it....

People don't trust Clinton because she is a lawyer and she is very careful with her language to prevent making a mistake. She sounds shifty and inexact, as if she is avoiding a direct answer. It doesn't matter if the question is about emails or which baseball team she roots for.

People don't trust Trump because he is an arrogant, serial liar and a psychopath.
