Video editing

Anyone here make videos? I don't need anything super fancy. I liked the old MS Movie maker that came with Windows 10. Unfortunately, it's not included with Windows anymore, of course they want me to buy it separately. Unfortunately, there's no way to try it out first, and with MS, when they 'improve' something to charge for it, it usually loses half of its functionality, and they make the interface even less intuitive.

So, I'm looking for recommendations, with a strong preference for free or at least a free trial. I really don't need anything fancy. I just want to be able to cut and stitch together images or video clips and edit the soundtrack similarly. (Like the old MS Movie Maker.)

You will probably have more luck googling for things like "best video makers". There are plenty of sites that list a bunch of these.

I had good luck with Lightspeed, a free video editor.
