video op-ed: Final Fantasy is anti-religion

Very cool. Final Fantasy X was my favorite of the series, and it was blatantly anti-organized religion. The video left out the racism in the game, where the Al-Bhed people were discriminated against for such things as not being part of the majority religion, and not rejecting technology like the religion demands. The church is also hypocritical in at when you discover its corruption, yo find out they have attack robots to send after you.

And the main hope of the people against the monster Sin is the summoner's quest, which the church knows will never work and is a flaws hope. But they peddle that to the people to keep them controlled.

The FF series does have strong spiritual themes, like the lifestream in FF VII, but I'm glad to see the take on religion is not just limited to FF X
