Virginia Gun Law Debate

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/jerry-falwell-will-call-for-civil-disobedience-if-virginia-democrats-pass-gun-bans

Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. said he will "call for civil disobedience" if Virginia Democrats pass several gun control bills during this year's General Assembly session.

Speaking on Todd Barnes's podcast ToddCast, Falwell said he had "never seen such a response from my fellow Virginians, negative response, to any proposal ever out of Richmond."

The Democratic majority appears poised to pass monumental legislation that will change the Second Amendment rights of Virginia citizens. Some of the legislation proposed by Democrats includes a ban on assault weapons, the introduction of controversial red flag laws that temporarily confiscate the guns of citizens who are deemed a risk, and a monthly limit to handgun purchases.

"I will not be surprised at all if the citizens and police in a good part of Virginia just decided not to enforce whatever this governor and legislature passes," remarked Falwell.

Falwell, who became president of the private evangelical Christian university after his father died, has claimed that President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence represent the most faith-friendly White House "ever."

Jesus, please protect me from your nutty followers. What would Jesus carry by the way? When did conservative Christians become such gun nuts? I know this may be a little bit off topic, but since it's about the Virginia proposed gun laws, it's sort of relevant. Jesus......

If a policeman decided not to enforce a red flag law because they disagreed with it, and the flagged person goes on to commit murder with their guns, I think the cop should be charged as an accessory, or at least negligent death resulting

He's having multiple feargasms - and feargasms are always faked. There is no publicly evidence that this rally is going to be "storming the capitol".

Governor Blackface has to either hide behind "we have secret intel" or "we are paranoid nitwits". The latter is more likely.
Well, there was that murder at the protest a couple years ago, so some in Government might be tending to erring on the side of caution. And as far as feargasms... the gun lobby has been exploiting those to ring up sales for decades now.

So those neo-nazis were just "fine people"?

If you say so.

I have a thread for the arrest of the three fine people questioning if they were the victims of an out of control government including a random quote from an obviously qualified observer, Chris Hill, calling the charges fake. He does make youtube videos, the sure gold standard for people here on the right. He has more than 1500 subscribers and his videos are viewed by hundreds of people.

The gun-rights protest was peaceful and without incident. Chris Hill's youtube channel is here and my thread on the subject is here.

Just need to keep immigration rates high and more of these gun laws will be passed in more states.

White christian conservatives are scum and need to die.

Everyone who attended the rally should be fired from their jobs, expelled from their schools and have their bank accounts closed.

I feel so unsafe.

Ban on assault weapon sales dies in Va. Senate committee

The rally seemed to have an effect. Instead of being violent, instead of being white supremacist, the way the media so dearly wanted it to be, it was peacefully and multiracial. And the fact that it was peaceful is interesting and important, because there are many who say that peaceful protest doesn't work which is why there are plenty of progressives who think you have to put on a black mask and smash windows.

There was no violence, the bill stalled. The rally worked.

Gun-Toting Hopewell GOP Chair Protests Outside Delegate’s House

A Democratic lawmaker who is leading an effort to ban assault weapons in Virginia has asked local prosecutors to consider pressing charges against a gun-toting Republican Party chair who protested outside his home on Saturday.

"I hope you kissed your wife,” Howard said in the video. “I hope you kissed your husband. I hope you kiss your children goodbye before you come and take mine [firearm], because that’s the last time you’d have ever kissed them in your life."

How the fuck is any police officer supposed to know from looking at him that he isn't a fucking terrorist and shouldn't be immediately shot before he kills dozens? Aside from the fact that he's actually and literally engaging in terrorism.
