I love my home.

A pastor and his wife, standing outside his church. You know, the church I'm talking about, the one with the great big oak tree in the roof.

"God said he'd never forsake and he'd be with us always. We are blessed."

That would be the same God who put a tree in your church roof.

It's amazing how no matter what happens, it is taken as evidence supporting their truth claims, and nothing that happens is taken as evidence against their truth claims. I suspect that they don't fully understand what supporting evidence is.

On a related note, if you ask a Christian or Muslim for supporting evidence for a truth claim, they instead make more truth claims.

I know it's very hard to understand the mentality of some Christians. I was raised by some like that. When something bad happened, it was always god's will. We don't always understand why god does the things he does. God has a reason for everything he does, etc. etc. I was told that god would explain it all to us in heaven because it was impossible for us to understand why he did the things he did. Even at the tender age of 8, I didn't find that to be an acceptable answer, but I believed the nonsense until I was 18. It was a great relief to be able to let it go. But, many Christians love their church communities so much, that they will never question the validity of their beliefs. They don't want to venture outside their comfort zone.

God is clearly punishing the east coast for homosexuality, rampant fornication, and most of all politicians invoking god while acting without a moral compass.

It is warning to Trump to repent.

This is my husband Larry's truck as of approximately 6:00am on Monday, September 17, 2018 on Hwy. 145 in Chesterfield, SC. Up until this point I have not posted or really commented to anyone but family members regarding this accident. This is an actual picture of the accident taken by Larry. It is not an after the fact picture like you have seen on the news which to me are deceiving. The road was intact when he began driving across it and collapsed underneath his truck.

The cab of his truck was filling with water and it was running all the way up to the very top of the truck. There was still asphalt between the truck and trailer at the time. He was trying to figure out a way to get out of the truck safely but with water steadily coming into the cab his options were limited. He at that time said God, I've done all I can do. It is in your hands now. A few seconds later, the asphalt between the truck and trailer collapsed creating a sink hole that diverted the water and essentially saved Larry's life. All I can say to this is MY ALMIGHTY GOD WAS IN CONTROL THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. He was inside that truck with Larry the whole time. He was with the EMS crew that came to the scene and helped him out of the truck and got him to safe land. If it had not been for MY ALMIGHTY GOD, my husband may not be with us today. I praise my God that he was there and that Larry suffered at present only superficial scratches and not major injuries.

Now personally, I'm not sure if this is real or "fake news"
But the comments underneath that picture are real and they are all about praising God and God is good and prayer works.

YOUR GOD WRECKED THE TRUCK AND PUT THE DRIVER IN DANGER!!!

Saving the guy you damned near killed is not good, it's how not to get sued by his family!!!!

You have to love those believer testimonials where the lone survivor of some calamity praises god for pulling him/her through. By that logic, the relatives of the deceased should be cursing god.

Instead of blaming god for sending a hurricane and floods that nearly took the driver's life, they are praising god for saving the drivers life.

It is incredible what human beings can rationalize away. I live in South Carolina and have to deal with this sort of nonsense on a fairly routine basis.

The picture looks real. I am a bridge engineer, and a lot of roads and bridges or culverts get washed away when the embankment gets overtopped with flood waters. We had to deal with scenarios like this from the floods a few years ago, and the State has still not fixed all the damage.
