These days I'm starting to notice how much fantastic content is on Youtube, and paired with a Smart TV how much value it offers. So here's a thread for ideas on things to watch.

Would preferably like to keep this thread non-music related.

Not particularly watching anything but wife and I were watching Wheeler Dealers (She loves Edd) on an Isetta bubble car and I had to show her the videos of Reliant Robins rolling over.

I just checked and I'm currently subscribed to 414 YouTube channels in my RSS feed. I'll go through phases of adding channels, so I have an eclectic mix of science/math, animal, maker, cooking, outdoors, vlogs, tv/movie, gaming, etc, plus a bunch of random I-only-came-across-this-once-but-was-intriguing channels.

My most recent add was the Ask A Mortician channel. It's informative, interesting, kooky, and oddly comedic, if a bit morbid.

Somehow I found this guy. I love his voice but would understand how some people would hate it. Back to the Future phonetically = Bock to tha fyoot-cha.

He goes on for too long too often for youtube fare, but for about 10-15 minutes at a time, he's pretty solid.

I fancy myself a motoring enthusiast, so I've been watching car-related videos a lot lately.

Doug DeMuro is a thorough (and thoroughly nerdy) car reviewer:

Then there's Mr. Regular, of Regular Car Reviews.

And then there's the big money reviews...Ignition - on the Motor Trend Channel (presented by Tire Rack.com)

And if you couldn't tell, I want a Lexus LC500. Badly.

It's funny, I really got into pulling up more on YouTube a few years ago, just looking for some tunes to listen to while working. I wouldn't even necessarily watch them, just sometimes find a full album to listen to while I could do work in other windows or applications and I could pause it as necessary. Somehow then, I got into more and more atheist channels (too many to name here at the moment, though I will freely provide suggestions if asked), finding it easy again, to listen to a lengthy debate while doing other mindless work. I think it really helped me solidify some thoughts and be able to express myself better about certain arguments and positions. It expanded slightly into politics (Secular Talk and TYT) after a while, but one of my newest favorite channels is called Numberphile. This is a great channel for all you fellow number/math geeks!

Other than that, I have found that YouTube can also be helpful with all sorts of things, like how to fix your dryer or replace spark plugs or whatever. I've only used this sort of thing a couple of times, but it's certainly been handy.
