Just wondering if anyone wants to take a punt at what books will be remembered down the centuries. Anything from Douglas Adams or Stephan King? Non fiction as well, perhaps Dawkins books?

*Grabs kindle*

Douglas Adams, definitely.

The Martian by Andy Weir

Although I'm not personally a fan, the Harry Potter series.

Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series

The Dark Tower by Stephen King

Ready Player One by Earnest Kline

Contact by Carl Sagan

The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt

The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins

The End of Faith by Sam Harris

God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens

Breaking The Spell by Daniel Dennett

The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins

The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat by oliver Sacks

The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan

Guns, Germs & Steel by Jared Diamond

Freakonomics Steven Levitt & Stephen Dubner

A Brief History Of Time Stephen Hawking

Thinking, Fast and Slow: Daniel Kahneman

I can't imagine anything by Dawkins will be remembered. Bet 85% of people don't even know who he is. Seriously, no Kurt Vonnegut Jr. in that list? Your atheist membership card has been revoked. *shred*

Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut Jr

I read House of Leaves twice and the damn thing fell apart!

To be fair it's very close to the 50 year cutoff.

My vote goes to Midnight's Children

I think Neil Gaiman will be around in that time. American Gods, Smoke and Mirrors.......

Absolutely Douglas Addams!!
