What Celebs Would Ask GOP Candidates:

I can answer Glenn Beck's:

"If the average citizen thinks God has nothing to do with government, who then creates our rights and what makes them inalienable?"

God could not have created human rights, because God does not exist. Rights are created through social compact, which is why persons now have rights that they did not have before, and why some rights (e.g. the right of a person to own a slave) have been extinguished.

Nothing makes rights inalienable except the social compact to preserve them.

Good question Glenn, you are a wise man indeed. Now where do I sign up to buy gold?

"If the average citizen thinks Zeus has nothing to do with government, who then creates our rights and what makes them inalienable?"

"If the average citizen thinks Allah has nothing to do with government, who then creates our rights and what makes them inalienable?"

"If the average citizen thinks Iya has nothing to do with government, who then creates our rights and what makes them inalienable?"

Actually, substituting other gods to highlight the fallacy in Beck's question wouldn't make the slightest bit difference to him.

Perhaps this:

Is God perfect? Do you see perfection in the government?

Is God omniscient? Do you see anything resembling omniscience in the government?

Is God infallible? Do you see anything resembling infallibility in the government?
