Along with the President of the CSA saying a month before the
attack on Fort Sumter:
Do you realize plenty of people are for states rights and against slavery?
This is also bullshit. In the 1850's the South forced all Northern States to adhere to the
Fugitive Slave Act. State's Rights be damned. So people like Davis and Calhoun only pretended to care about state's rights when it suited their narrative, but basically they just wanted to own some niggers and would use any argument that fitted their purposes.
We were discussing Charlie Daniels when I asked that question, not the 1850's. My point was that it doesn't automatically mean you want slavery back if you flew that flag.
Do you guys remember the show Dukes of Hazzard? They had the Confederate flag on the roof of their car and they edit it out in reruns now. This is the SJW's out of control. Has Dukes of Hazzard ever hinted they were racists on the show? Or just from the South? My point is that not everyone who uses that flag is a racist. Of course racists in the South will use it, but you can't make any judgments about a person's intentions unless you speak to them first.
If you saw someone wearing a swastika T-Shirt and you accused them of being a Nazi, you may be right. But, what if this person simply enjoys wearing historical symbols? Of course this would be an extreme example but my main point is that you can't assume intention behind the symbol.
