Who Agrees Fourth Wave Feminism is Toxic Femininity And Should Be Abolished?

The originals don't exist as the same thing, once they have been pooped all over.
How sad for you.
I grew up thinking James Bond WAS Sean Connery. Best lines, best women, some of the best toys, some of the best villains, THE best villainous henchmen. He had it all and his legacy has stood the test of remakes, restarts, parodies, and Peter Sellars.
They could cast Paul Reubens as the next Bond, played as PeeWee Hernan, with Gadget Hackwrench as Q, and i would loose nothing in my regard for Diamonds Are Forever.

What kind of message are the gender swapping scenarios sending to everyone, Keith. I see nothing unfair about the 007 franchise yet... but you do know the um, next changes to come to 007, right? Get back to me when they drop THAT turd.
The need to hit a Christian is sometimes stronger than the need to insert a good point, I totally understand.

Oddly enough, you are having a hard time giving many examples of all of this perturbing gender swapping.

A problem so awful in Hollywood, but just how common is it really?

I'm not going to do actual work to prove what almost everyone else already agrees with, Jimmy. I made my point, and it inadvertently assisted females in their cinema plight, if you didn't notice at first. And you want me to do a book report on how important it is that you don't think I'm sexist now But I'm just not upset like you and a couple others seem to be getting, so no. My point was honest and accurate at fist and I'll keep it at that.

So your answer is to whine about meta-discussion. OMFG!

You whine about an answer to your question on a topic you say doesn't matter but keep posting about. Good job.

This says a lot about men's rights activism. It's complaining about women in ghostbusters. And when you get called on it, complaining about legitimate complaining. Meanwhile, men are dying and being brainwashed by conservative religions. Sheesh.

In other words you can only come up with two or three movies out of the hundred or so that have come out over the past few years. Oh woe is the tiny list of classics.

Well brainwashing is what's happening in Hollywood, too. On many levels, but in this case I mean the catastrophic collection of confounded remakes that represent "the big try", when females got enough momentum and clout to show that they really can do it better than men. When the switches have all been done to every frightened, woke person's approval, people will look at the body of work inspired by this fad as total trash. "This is how badly females did when they tried to show men how it's done". Forever Don. And testosterone will flow from fountains again.

One example I haven't seen anyone mention is an earlier, less wokeness inspired movie - The Next Karate Kid. And yes I predicted all of this, as soon as I rented it at blockbuster, thank you for already assuming this. Karate Kid was important to me. I form into an inadvertent crane kick stance whenever danger erupts. I also had a thing I did where I imagined a glowing headband would form around my head like a halo in post coital eureka moments. Like when I invent a better fork, or think of a new way to save women's rights, Don. I mentioned I had the headband halo going for me. Hillary Swank stole it, you see. Words I wish I only had to say once in life, but this looks like this has become a thing. So there is something I have lost because of a bad remake, made before anyone was claiming to be woke. Hurt almost as much as the Ghostbusters remake, but at least The Next Karate kid still acknowledges the universe in which the original transpired. Nowadays they're just total cannibals. Thank God most people agree with me, huh Don.

The woke won't stop stealing from me, and the women continue to have dignity stolen from them. The woke fad (incepted in faith that tech has people asleep enough to make it work in whatever fucked up way will make the most money and sustain the status quo) will steal everything eventually, and the people laughing now will cry later, assuming that is still allowed under the new woke laws and guidelines. The fountains will flow - and you helped them accomplish their goal, thinking you were woke the whole time.

YOU were saying tge message was to ruin your childhood.
I find my memories of Trek, Bond, Ninja Turtles when they were Black and White, Fear and Loathing, Conan, all are pretty intact, all i was saying.
I see nothing unfair about the 007 franchise yet... but you do know the um, next changes to come to 007, right? Get back to me when they drop THAT turd.
meh. They wwre asking about a female Bond when he partnered with Jinx. I figured it was inevitable.
The need to hit a Christian is sometimes stronger than the need to insert a good point, I totally understand.
wow, that's cheesy.
So, if you cannot respond to my actual comment, make a non sequitur and make it about ideology.

I still don't see how Revision 5 Change 18 has any actual bearing on R0C0.

You haven't said anything relevant to what I was busy explaining to laughing dog, Ruby and Don. I figured you would have waited until you had some actual input. 007 is next year's circle jerk, or maybe 2021. Other than being as sexist as the times were, there is no issue in this with 007. Cheesily convolute things as you wish but I simply had nothing to work with there dude. I can either believe that you still dislike my religion or that you are one of the "woke" ones too which would be discouraging

The Karate Kid franchise had been going downhill with the two sequels which were progressively worse. Ralph Macchio’s performances became progressively worse and unbelievable as he aged. The Next Karate Kid was not a remake but an attempt to squeeze some cash out of the character of Mr Miyagi. It was an awful film, but no worse than Karate Kid 3.

Blaming Hilary Swank is silly- she did not write the script. Why not blame Pat Morita? Without him, there would have been no movie.

sorry, i thought i had quoted what i was commenting against to make it clear. You and the way the things you remember are tainted by remakes. As a fan of Trek, Marvel, Bond, and the C-3 Fire Control System, that seems a horrible, if artificial, burden. Kind of like the French trying to freeze their kanguage while it keeps trying to adapt....
I figured you would have waited until you had some actual input.
then you probably should ignore me until my contribution to the thread meets your submission requirements, huh?

bond just the first example i thought of. Could have used Kirk's Trek, or Fawcett's Angels. Cassidy's Addams. I just don't understand the complaint that today's efforts 'ruin my childhood' from some people.
Cheesily convolute things as you wish but I simply had nothing to work with there dude.
and yet once more, the subject of my comment was your inability to separate a recent outing from 'the original.' Not a need to concentrate on Bond.
I can either believe that you still dislike my religion or that you are one of the "woke" ones too which would be discouraging
i had absolutely zero thoughts of your religion until you knocked that chip off your own shoulder.
I have no idea if I am woke.

I never said anything to you in the first place and I hadn't planned to. Nor did I mean to hurt your feelings so deeply. See what the woke are doing to decent folks? I only saw the 007 part so just forget about it and try to heal from this Keith. You can understand that I am weary of people's bullshit and I do recall something about religious standing coming into things before, when it wasn't necessary or related to the subject at hand.

Nothing I have written in this thread is about men's rights. That you choose to project that makes me wonder what you are on about.

Katherine Hepburn and Bette Davis were standing toe to toe with Leslie Howard and James Cagney 90 years ago. The short list of best actors of all time consist nearly equally of men and women. Perhaps the one lagging point consists of female comedians in good films.

When the switches have all been done to every frightened, woke person's approval, people will look at the body of work inspired by this fad as total trash. "This is how badly females did when they tried to show men how it's done". Forever Don. And testosterone will flow from fountains again.
You whine about all these switches, but all you brought up is the Karate Kid which was floundering pre-Hillary Swank (whatever happened to her?) and Ghostbusters.

This 'trend' of women playing former male roles in movies isn't much of a trend and is drowned out by all of the other roles women are playing in films. So much so, it really makes one wonder why is there so much pantie bunching from the woke of the woke? You are sniping about other people shouldn't have their feelings be hurt over this, but you are the one doing the whining.
