Why do I watch Reality TV with my wife...

Yes. I often wonder why I watch reality TV with my wife too.
Though admittedly Question Time in the Commonwealth of Australia's parliament is no where as entertaining nor as ridiculous as yours (of course that depends upon your POV)

Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks out as Crockett files trademark for ‘bleach blonde bad-built butch body’
Marjorie Taylor Greene has spoken out after Jasmine Crockett is said to have filed a trademark application for the phrase “bleach blonde bad-built butch body”.

Half an hour into House Oversight Committee proceedings last Thursday, the Republican lawmaker lined up the Democrat in her crosshairs insulting her “fake eyelashes”.

While the House devolved into chaos with Ms Green also taking aim at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s intelligence, the congresswoman’s insults were ruled not to have flouted rules.

Scratching her head at the decision, Ms Crockett asked whether making remarks about somebody’s “bleach blond, bad-built butch body” was also allowed – a clear jibe at Ms Greene.

Ms Crockett is now looking to capitalise from the feud, with her campaign purportedly filing a trademark for the scathing alliterative remark, according to documents viewed by Fox News.

The Texas representative plans to create a suite of hats, hoodies, socks, and t-shirts branded with the phrase, as per the documents.

sigh...

when my government is doing this?

Way, way more entertaining!

The feud between Greene and others was only an appetizer. Raskin's description takes the cake.

This reminds me much more of "South Park".

It should be noted these unprofessional representatives (who act like children) are being paid 3x the average income of the typical US taxpayer. That might be ok if we wanted bread and circus comedy but they are supposed to be making policy and not entertainment.

Jimmy Higgins will tell you Congress the people, and the political parties got along worse during the 60's and 70's but that's sure not how I remember it.

Please don't speak for me. I can make ridiculous and stupid assertions on my own.

A Vermont lawmaker was compelled to apologize publicly after being caught on video pouring water into her colleague’s work bag multiple times across several months.

The bizarre behavior is allegedly a part of a campaign of harassment that one legislator aimed at another who represents the same district in the Green Mountain state, independent outlet Seven Days first reported.

The Republican representative, Mary Morrissey, 67, confessed to dumping water in the bag of the Democratic legislator Jim Carroll, 62. She later apologized during a Vermont state house session on Monday, Boston.com reported.

“I am truly ashamed of my actions,” Morrissey said.

Morrissey did not respond to the Guardian’s request for comment.
Childish.
