• Welcome to the Internet Infidels Discussion Board.

Why does god put the needs of the few above the needs of the many?

We are talking an ingroup saying, not what one does with the enemy.
Ah. So there are unstated conditions on this objective moral tenet.

You have added those in. Not me.
no, you said my thoughts were a twist on the concept, because your objective moral tenet NOW only applies within a group.
But even if that were expressed in the OP, wouldn't God's relationship with all of mankind be within one group?
If you want to do that,
but i am not doing that.
You're the one adding conditions that were'nt in the OP
ignore what I put and begin your own O.P. or scenario with your conclusions and I will see if I agree.
no, this is still about your OP. If the tenet is objective, and not at all subjective, wouldn't it apply to everyone, all the time?
Isn't the very act of dividing people between friends and enemies a subjective judgement!

I wrote as I did because it was meant to draw in theists. If I had put imaginary in the title, it would discourage them.

Decent apologists are already near non-existent and I want to encourage their presence, not discourage them.

I admire your optimism. :)

And because of that, I am going to bite my tongue typing finger and restrain myself from asking whether the term 'decent (theological) apologist' is an oxymoron. Whoops.

I will now leave you to your topic and not disrupt it further.

Yes. It was not a condition for seeing the tenet as objective.

You introduced in group and out group.

Yes, a god would have to see us all as one group Good or evil people within that group are still part of the one group.
