Why Is It So Hard for Democracy to Deal With Inequality?

I hate to break it to you but these high paid CEO's are not very good at creating wealth.

They are normal human beings except they are superior politicians and bullshitters.

They are not special in any other way.

Just because you don't understand what they do doesn't mean they don't produce value.

I've seen the difference between good management and bad management. It's like night vs day.

Management is something people can do themselves.

And yes, there will be groups that manage themselves better than others.

You still are imagining a world where all the employees understand all aspects of the job to a reasonable degree.

That is rarely reality.

It's weird how CEOs can simultaneously not matter at all *and* be responsible for destroying value with bad decisions.
I've not ever said that either. What I have (and continue to say) is that a CEO that is responsible for destroying value is not worth a millionaire salary while he is destroying the value.

And I continue to say that too.

Next you'll tell us you're also coming out against Medicines that kill you while they are killing you.

You're living in a delusion where these coddled executives understand anything about what is happening.

Look at Trump. There is your capitalist executive.

Or the delusion that anybody that can throw a football can be an NFL quarterback because Tim Tebow played. Again, prove us wrong. Go start the next fabulous company with democracy. If it's easy you should have no problems.

It takes sociopaths with pathological egos to succeed in the politics of modern corporations.

But they are just sociopaths with large egos and very little regard for others.

They are not masterminds.

If they succeed it is because some worker had a good idea.

The highest paid of them fail constantly.

You are absolutely right dismal. I would be against Big Pharma selling me an obscene overpriced medicine that was nothing more than rat poison advertised otherwise. I would be against that kind of fraud or scam too. (Its just a good thing Big Phama has not yet caught up to the unchecked and complete corruption of the typical corporate board room or we would see a LOT more people dying needlessly from rat poison.)

Not too bad of an analogy on your part BTW.

Your preaching contradicts reality that a good CEO is a help, a bad CEO is a hindrance.

Your own example shows this--look how badly his companies have fared.

There are always a bunch of ideas.

The hard part is figuring out which ones are good and which ones are bad.
