Why not to vote Democrat

Well, he's not wrong. For here on the majority party will spend time investigating whatever it can to make the opposition look bad.

We already have gridlock and paralysis over scandals and criminal investigation, so Ryan's cry of alarm is laughable. The worst that can happen is that Donald Trump will be investigated and possibly impeached. At this point, I can't think of many better outcomes, since Trump is running one of the most dysfunctional administrations in the history of our country. He has assembled cabinet that is full of incompetents and corrupt kleptocrats like Scott Pruitt. So, if that is what Ryan is predicting, please bring it on. Also, why would anyone want to wish Trump a successful presidency? His proposed policies are utterly insane. His failure will do less harm than his success.

Shouldn't Republican misdeeds be investigated?

Shouldn't Republican misdeeds be investigated?

Crap, I'll say it first, I'd like a little payback! I'd like to have a Bengazhi like investigation of Trumps terrible Niger attack that left 4 US soldiers dead. I'd like to know what happened. No more Trump supreme court appointees if we can take the senate. Investigations of Pruett and all the other scandals would be swell....

So if Democrats come to power nothing will get done?
It seems to me the reason for gridlock; the ones blocking legislation, appointments, &c. in recent years, were the Republicans.

Apparently gridlock is a good thing if managed by Republicans, but bad if by Democrats. Not that I'd expect a Democratic congress to block a lot of legislation. Democrats are less fearful of change than Republicans. They're more eager to try new things. It's the Republicans who tend to dig in their heels to block change. It's the Republicans who promote 'traditional values' and cling to the status quo.

Well, I do want to warn that the Dems taking back the senate or the house is not a sure thing. Dems are losers. We tend to allow petty differences to separate our vote and not even vote. We focus on differences. They focus on the supreme court and how to change the country to suit their religion. I put the odds of the dems taking back the house at slightly less than 50-50.

Right? Why aren't the Republicans freaking the fuck out about what happened there?

Objectively speaking, when you have the presence the U.S. has in nearly every part of the world, bad shit is going to happen sometimes as it did in Benghazi, and as it did in Niger. It doesn't necessitate a massive investigation and the oblique placement of absolute blame on any single person. The only difference here is that it was an opportunity to throw mud on Hillary once again, and they threw cargo ships full of mud on her over it. But here? Nah.

When Dubbya was POTUS, 66 embassy personnel were killed. Where was the right wing rage machine then? Oh, that's right, an (R) was in office so it was no big.

And as Republicans have learned, investigate anything long enough and you'll bear serendipitous fruit. Ken Starr kept hammering at Whitewater, and accidentally discovered a stained blue dress. Republicans investigated Benghazi to death, and accidentally discovered an insecure web server.

As to the OP, I wonder if anyone, back at the end of the Clinton Administration, argued that no one should vote for Republicans, because it would cause subpoena gridlock.
