Why we need truly encrypted communications--the threat has come true

We keep seeing the eternal chant of child sex abuse material as justification for the government to have the ability to tap into encrypted communication. But what the government has the black hats will in time obtain. And they to some degree have already done so:


You want a malicious power to have the ability to sift through a great pile of data looking for compromising material??? Doesn't need to be state secrets--more like the messages between a congresscritter and their affair partner.

Technically this information is already on the dark web which makes the US susceptible to foreign interference as foreign powers can see who has financial liabilities they can manipulate.
