Widespread dishonesty in China and tyranny

Why would someone bother? It would be more expensive to make fakes than to just buy the real thing from the general market.
So fake solar panels made from cheap Chinese plastic and metal that look real from a distance would be more expensive than the real thing? As you can see in the OP there are a lot of examples in China related to its appearance and fooling government inspectors, etc. Also a few examples of actual solar panels and wind turbines doesn't necessarily mean that they have the large numbers of them that they say they do. I mean it might be the intention for the CCP to have lots of renewable energy but corruption can cause problems with this.

Yep. Making decoys has been a tried and true tactic for a long time, particularly in war. Fake tanks, trucks, weapons, etc have fooled others into thinking there was a bigger military presence than there was. If it was cheaper or easier to use the real thing, wouldn't they have used them?

The last half of the second video makes you wonder if we in the western world are basically committing suicide as a society by spending all this money on tough auto emission standards, renewable energy, banning natural gas and its appliances, recycling, etc while China is basically destroying the planet's air and environment all on its own. Are we just doing all this to just feel good about ourselves knowing all this is going on on the other side of the world? Not sure what the answer is. Maybe China will self destruct as a society on its own first due to its own pollution, corruption and negative population growth.
China is actually a good bit ahead of us in renewable energy
And how do you know they're not lying about this, like they are doing with everything else per the OP?

How do you know China is lying about anything & how do you know the YouTube Content creator is telling the truth about anything?

How do I know you're not lying about this statement?

I feel a conundrum coming on...

That wasn't a statement. It was a question. Can a question be a lie, outside of "do you still beat your wife" stuff?

Either the footage is real or the footage of things like a field of 10,000 new electric cars or the ghost cities isn't genuine.... is it CGI or did the guy stage it himself? In post #20 there is another guy's video about the ghost cities - they seem to be friends though. Note you talked about him telling the truth about "anything" rather than "everything".

On the topic of waste and corruption (from post #17) - this is about many empty "ghost cities" - related to real estate investments

A related video at 9:50 also says "China has over 600 million people whose monthly income is barely US$140" then at 10:20 says China's GDP per capita (average per person) is about US$1000 per month. So the richer people would skew the average a lot

China certainly does have a ghost city problem. I've even been in a semi-ghost mall.

However, it is clearly state driven. The government is determined to maintain a 7% growth rate even though that will be impossible as they approach US levels. The result has been Beijing trying to spur the economy--they tell the banks to ignore the reality and lend on the projects so the economic activity will continue. They're way over-built and the building marketplace is completely insane. Overall, a place should rent for something like 1% of it's value--a relative of ours is renting out a place in Shanghai for roughly .1% of it's value. Note the decimal point.

It seems there is an oversupply of housing.... the opposite problem to the situation in Australia. A high migration rate is making it even worse....

Speaking of environment and China. Reminded me PCB fiasco in US when your government decided that it has to get rid of it properly and set a date for a law taking into effect...... So capitalist folk simply dumped all that extremely poisonous crap, they were keeping safe, into lakes/rivers all around US BEFORE that date. Now you can't eat fish from lakes.... forever, cause PCB does not degrade and does not dissolve in water, it simply stays at the bottom.

Ghost cities is a chinese version of US housing bubble where people used houses as investment.
In China ordinary people are not allowed to invest in stock market I understand. So housing was created for that and government looked the other way because it supported economic growth. It is stupid, but capitalist regimes in the west do similarly stupid things too

You understand wrong. Most of her relatives are completely ordinary people--yet do invest in the stock market.
