WNBA - "White Privilege"

Yea!

Yea, no more Kantor! There are no biological males playing in the WNBA. And there never will be. These guys are just trying to get cheap political hits.
Those two guys were just a couple of knuckleheads doing a political stunt, and in no way were they "transwomen". But in the future, there may well be legit transwomen, who, for lack of a better word, have undergone the "full monty". Are they excluded forever as well? That is the $64,000 question.

The other thing I don't get is even if those two did become draft eligible, the teams are not under any obligation to choose them, making the whole issue sorta moot.
The WNBA allows women to play. It does not allow men to play or trans women.

It's my understanding that the WNBA is not clear on the issue of transwomen playing in the games. Has it been clarified?

Sophie Cunningham Claims Any Woman Who Averages More Than 8 Points Per Game Should Not Be Allowed To Play In WNBA

INDIANAPOLIS—Contending that the proposed restrictions were “common sense” and necessary to preserve the integrity of the sport, Indiana Fever shooting guard Sophie Cunningham claimed Friday that any woman who averages more than eight points per game should not be allowed to play in the WNBA. “Women who average more than 8.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, or 1.3 assists per game clearly have an unfair biological advantage over women who don’t, and we need to maintain a level playing field,” said Cunningham at a press conference, arguing that single-digit scorers shouldn’t have to worry about losing opportunities to players who possessed superior shooting, passing, and rebounding skills. “I don’t care what kind of criticism I get for saying this, but we need to protect women’s sports from people who are good at women’s sports. My concern is for the lower-to-average-tier players in the locker room who don’t have anyone else speaking up for them. If I get flack for saying what we’re all thinking, then so be it.” Cunningham added that she would never apologize for defending the next generation of girls from one day having to compete against someone who can reliably create her own shot.

Dude! That was the Onion. She was being sarcastic.

Yeah, the statistics mentioned in the piece (8.4 pts, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists) happen to be Cunningham's own stats for the season. As usual "The Onion's" satire is right on point.,

I didn't know it was The Onion until after I had the read above paragraph and clicked on the link at the end. Honestly, given the obsession with equity today, I thought it was real, but it did seem a little strange coming from Sophie Cunningham as, from what little I know about her, she is kind of a no-bullshit type of person.

Yea I really like her. She’s a pretty good wnba player. However, She wouldn’t make the 12th player on the worst team in the NBA.

I swear! The Onion masks their articles in order to confuse people into thinking that they are parody sometimes!
Disagree. Over the last few years there has been a concerted War on Satire. Not of The Onion's making. Colbert's parody of conservatives in the W Bush era looks "normal" today.
