The original Wonder Woman was a WWII superhero, which is why I didn't see the movie. Will go to the Justice League movie, though, as I like Wonder Woman and Aquaman from my long ago childhood.

Not knowing the canon makes dealing with these films a bit easier, though hardly fool proof.

Well, if they made this movie about a superhero wearing red and blue while fighting Nazis with a shield and a gang of misfits, the Captain America guys would give sued them for copyright infringement. They needed to make a few changes to the origin story to pretend they didn't just copy and paste from a Marvel script.

As for WW2, I assume that's going to be the topic of the sequel, and by the Cold War she will become disgusted with man's world.
