I see LONDON — Buckingham Palace issued an unprecedented third denial Monday amid a spiraling scandal over a woman's claims that she was forced into underage sex with Prince Andrew and a U.S. billionaire.

The accusation against Andrew — who is also the Duke of York, Queen Elizabeth II's second son and fifth in line to the British throne — was made by an American woman in papers filed with a Florida court last week.

The claim was made in a lengthy civil lawsuit that also mentions New York financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who the woman claims forced her to have sex with prominent people — including the prince — while she was 17. The woman is identified only as "Jane Doe Number 3" in the filing but has been named in British news reports as a 30-year-old from Florida. NBC News is not naming the accuser.

The article does sort of flesh out the allegations and they seem at least somewhat credible. They seem to name people who were friends of Epstein.

You do know there is a big difference between "underage" (which relates to a largely arbitrary legal age restriction) and pedophilia which involves attraction to prepubescent children, which Virginia Roberts certainly wasn't.
Also, just because one person might have had sex with her while she was technically underage doesn't mean his legal counsel or a royal duke did the same.

Fortunately we know Bill is not the sort of guy to be tempted by that sort of thing.

Your pedophile remark has already been refuted, I was simply commenting that he is not part of Virginia's allegations (thanks to Derec for giving her name - I didn't look that closely).

The age thing looks more like a technicality, but it is a serious one.

What would add credibility to her story would be corroboration by someone else who was there. A billionaire with a sex slave life style is expensive and comes with a large payroll. There are household staff, drivers, various contract workers, all people who have a view to what's happening. It would only take one person the say, "Yeah, I remember when the Prince was there."

As it is, it sounds like this woman went through the guys contact list on his phone and wrote down every name she recognized.
