I wonder how many years will Israel haters use this unfortunate incident like accudgel, while ignoring far more common incidents of violence from the Islamists (or even expressing hatred for anyone who dare bring it up, as the OP did in another thread).

I've already mentioned to them that I think Israel and Palestine are both shit, which makes it even funnier.

I was trying to figure out the "multi-ethnic democracy" that is not a police state.

If Israel's the multi-ethnic democracy offering peace and prosperity, when why weren't the mothers and very young children evacuated from Gaza and allowed into Israel so they could join this wonderful society that doesn't discriminate against them?

No theocratic state is a good state. Israel is only as good as it is secular. Which it increasingly isn't.

Because if they had been allowed into Israel Hamas would have killed them for returning to Gaza. And Hamas wasn't about to let them go anywhere else. The children are weapons.

Because if they had been allowed into Israel Hamas would have killed them for returning to Gaza. And Hamas wasn't about to let them go anywhere else. The children are weapons.

Why would they have had to return to Gaza if Israel is a multiethnic democracy offering peace and prosperity? Why can't they stay for that peace and prosperity being offered, look for jobs and permanent housing there, and enroll their kids in school?
