Nobody said science was infallible. In fact, it is so fallible that it is constantly adjusting theories to keep up with new data. That is a strength, not a weakness. Contrast that religious dogma that almost never changes as new discoveries are made. A rare exception is the Catholic Church accepting evolution, but with the proviso that at some point god put a “soul“ into early humans.
