Merged Gaza just launched an unprovoked attack on Israel

For anyone here who may show signs of bigotry towards Arabs or Muslims, I found a British doctor who substantiates the claims regarding Israel deliberating shooting innocent civilians including children and denying them aide. Although I did read this morning that due to pressure from many countries, Israel claims they will send more aide. We shall see.

British surgeon in Gaza: 'Palestinians are being shot at aid sites as if it's a game'

Dr Nick Maynard says doctors noticed 'a clustering of different body parts being injured on different days'

The Israeli military has been accused of playing a deadly “game” with starving Gazans queuing up for aid, deliberating shooting different body parts on different days.

Dr Nick Maynard, a British surgeon who has recently returned from Gaza, said that hospital colleagues first raised the alarm when what appeared to be a “pattern” emerged of “clusters” of similar injuries on the same days from controversial aid distribution sites.

Maynard said the pattern suggested a deliberate targeting, “almost like a game they’re playing”.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it categorically rejected claims of the deliberate targeting of minors but that “incidents” at aid sites were being investigated.

Dr Maynard told The i Paper he was first alerted to a pattern of injuries by the emergency department doctors at Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Yunis as they triaged arrivals, “who said they all noticed this; a clustering of body parts being injured on different days.

“One day it would be the head and neck being targeted, the next day would be the abdomen, the next day the chest, the next day the legs or the arms.

Doctors like this one are heroic, putting their own lives at risk to help these innocent people who are being targeted by Israel. I read in another article that he has helped train new Palestinian doctors for many years and he has a lot of respect for them. I can't imagine having the courage to do what people like him are doing, and I would believe him over what someone like Netanyahu or his toadies would claim any day of the week.

Plus, while I don't have time to link it right now, more Israeli citizens are protesting what their leader is doing. Sort of like some of us protested the unjust Viet Nam War. It's past time for the people of Israel to speak up against Netanyahu.

For anyone here who may show signs of bigotry towards Arabs or Muslims,
It's not about bigotry toward "Arabs of Muslims", but that Arabs and Muslims often show bigotry toward the Jews, and so an anti-Israel article on cnn.com written by them is likely to be biased.

Of course, antisemitism is not a bigotry limited only to "Arabs of Muslims". Some Brits have been known to be anti-Semitic too, for example Jeremy Corbyn. He just started a new party, btw.

And, let me guess, they are using their blood for matzo balls too?
Color me skeptical of these claims. They read like modern day blood libel.

And the reasoning of using a snapshot of a “chunky” adult to dismiss the reports based on 1000s of screened children by NGOs and the UN of a marked increase in malnutrition rates is impeccable logic. Truly brilliant.
Those two were just examples. The fact is that generally, adults appear well-fed.
At least some of the emaciated children have underlying medical conditions, which makes their use for propaganda very ghoulish.
After all, why would anyone expect a blockade of food and medical supplies to affect the health of a population, especially the most vulnerable?
This is where all the food is:

Makes one wonder what the gov’t of Israel was thinking when it came up with that plan to force Hamas to agree with their terms.
I think Hamas carries a lot of blame for being intransigent. I think Hamas still thinks they have enough leverage to effect the release of thousands of prisoners, including such bad seeds as Abdullah Barghouti.
Hardened terrorists that Hamas demands in exchange of hostages

It’s tempting to dismiss widespread hunger in Gaza because you see one adult with full cheeks,
And another adult with a belly. The point is that those are examples. Generally, adults appear well-fed. Even in the photo posted by sothernhybrid above with the guy carrying some cardboard boxes, the people in the photo look well-fed to me.
Young children, with their tiny fat and muscle reserves, can fall into life-threatening wasting within days of insufficient food, while adults draw on longer-term stores and often don’t look “skeletal” even as their bodies break down.[/quote]
Yes, children have less reserves. But also, some children have underlying health conditions, and some of them are used as subjects of these propaganda photos.

The Truth Behind the Viral Gazan Famine Photo
David Collier said:
This isn’t the face of famine. It’s the face of a medically vulnerable child whose suffering was hijacked and weaponised – first by Hamas, then by global media.
Unless you have been hiding under a rock all week, you would have seen the viral images of Mohammed, the child victim of the Gazan ‘famine’. The image used by most of these outlets was licensed to Anadolu, a Turkish state-run news agency headquartered in Ankara. The photos were taken by the Gaza-based photographer, Ahmed Jihad Ibrahim Al-arini, and uploaded to his Instagram account on 22nd July – a day before the Express splashed it across their front page. But in fact another Gazan based account, Saeed Mohammed had shared similar images even earlier.
[...]
Except this image proves none of it. Wider and unpublished pictures show Mohammed’s healthy brother Joud, who was born on 18 April 2022 and is 3 years old. Mohammed was born on 23 December 2023, just two months after October 7.
What we can see from the pictures is that both Mohammed’s mother and his older brother, look healthy and are not suffering from any type of starvation that would be necessary to cause the thinness suffered by Mohammed.
[...]
Muhammad Zakariya Ayyoub al-Matouq /Mutawwaq (was born with serious genetic disorders. He has needed specialist medical supplements since birth. Like previous examples of the media using ‘starving children’ going back to summer 2024 – the image is of a child suffering underlying (and hidden) health issues.
A medical report issued in May 2025 by the Basma Association for Relief in Gaza states that Mohammed, has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy – a group of neurological disorders affecting movement, muscle tone, and posture. The report notes that Mohammed suffers from hypoxemia (low oxygen in the blood), possibly linked to a suspected genetic disorder inherited in an ‘autosomal recessive pattern.’
As I have been saying.
The story being told through legacy media outlets such as the NYT is that Mohammed’s father was killed while going out to collect food. Again, to underline the Gaza hunger tragedy narrative. This has been reported without any attempt at verification. From the death certificate I can see the father Zakaria Ayoub Al-Matouq / Mutawwaq (زكريا أيوب المطوق) was killed on 28 October 2024: From online sources it turns out that Mohammed’s father, was killed in Jabalia, in what appears to be a targeted strike on ‘al Qassabeeb’ street. We can also see that Hamas were attacking the IDF in precisely that spot at the time (posts from 26 & 27th October).
While that is not proof since it could be a coincidence, it seems that it is likely that Little Mohammed's father indeed was a Hamasnik.
Of course, in propaganda accounts, every single killed Gazan is a civilian who did things like go out for food. Nobody who is killed is a fighter for Hamas or Islamic Jihad, they would have us believe.
I also wonder if the two parents are cousins. Consanguineous marriage is very common in Gaza, and it leads to higher prevalence of genetic disorders.
The spread of inbreeding marriages in Palestine
"Marry your cousin, keep the problems away". LMAO!

Worse still, severe protein deficiency can trigger kwashiorkor, where fluid accumulates under the skin and makes faces appear deceptively swollen rather than nourished.
Bisan does not look like she is suffering from kwashiorkor. She has made a lot of these videos, and she looks similar to how she's always looked.

On the ground, the facts are grim and unambiguous: UNRWA screening finds that roughly ten percent of Gaza’s children under five are clinically malnourished, and Médecins Sans Frontières has documented a three-fold spike in acute malnutrition among toddlers, with many tens of thousands in urgent need of therapeutic feeding.
UNRWA is notoriously biased agaisnt Israel, and has been infiltrated by Hamas.

Now I am back after spending three weeks, building a huge and complicated, and potentially dangerous art piece, together with Palestinians, Israelis, two Ukranians and a Russian. We all got along really well, I know so much more about this conflict and to all of you who criticise Israel.... sincearely... go and fuck yourselves.

The mood was a bit stiff initially. But we had a project to work on together that's been in the works for a year. Everybody knew what to do. They had all been handpicked for their specific skills, and did it.

Day one, one of the Jews made a mistake and joked he'd be kicked out of the camp. I quipped, "I would never do that. I'm trying to concentrate all the Jews into one camp". After that the ice was broken, everyone got along. Lots of jokes. Lots of holocaust jokes. Pretty early on after a long hard day of work someone asked for tahini. One of the Jews said, "I have brought tahini. It's from Israel. It's the worlds best tahini". One of the Palestinians then said, "today is the annual festival when Palestinians celebrate the holocaust". Everyone exploded with laughter. It was delivered with perfect timing. And obviously an over the top response. So the whole camp celebrated the holocaust together that night. There was a lot of toasts and cheering... and holocaust jokes. Everyone joined in. It was all good natured and playful.

It's been an epic week. Only conflicts about normal interpersonal stuff.

And the project was a success. We pulled it off as we'd planned it. Everything worked out. It was a team of 26 people, who all pulled in the same direction, and we all made friends for life. Awesome people.

This was a Swedish event. 4000 artists from all over the world.

One evening a Israeli girl in our group said, "I see lots of 'fuck Zionism' stickers around. Don’t they understand its offensive and hurtful".

I answered, "I don't think they do"

It is easy to criticize genocide I'll do it all day every day. Go fuck yourself.

Calling it genocide is antisemitic racist clap trap. Enjoy siding with evil
Israel is not Jews. Criticising Israel isn't criticising Jews. It isn't anti-semitic to criticise Isreal. It isn't even anti semitic to critisice Jews if they deserve it. Calling a spade a spade is adhering to reality. Enjoy fantasy.

It has been my experience that WHENEVER anyone says something is "antisemitic" they are lying and they know it.

You just described how minimising the persecution of Jews works. Well done
While you minimize the persecution of Gazans.

I have a simple flow chart on holocaust related humor and judging its worth.
  • Do you have a holocaust related joke?
    • No... you don't. Stop! STOP NOW!

Wow... now everything you say about Israel and Gaza has to be right!

The Israelis have been the victims of terrorism (and at points barbaric terrorism), not persecution. The Gazans are being persecuted, many of them rightly so... some of them, probably not so much.

From an email I recieved from Zeteo.

No, I don’t. Its horrible. The suffering of Gazans is a tragedy.

But easing up on the pressure will give room to Hamas to survive. Better to get rid of them once and for all.

Allowing Hamas to survive is the worse tragedy. This is better. For both the Palestinians and Israelis. Long term.

Umm... once and for all? This isn't a movie.

Enacting policies that will make the locals hate Israel isn't a good long-term solution.
