How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Case in point is Georgia and now Azerbaijan.
Georgia is a tiny country government of which was at one time wholly owned by US. US paid for everything, the only conditions was to be shitty toward Russia up to a starting a war in South Ossetia.
Russia won that war and then applied economic measures which resulted in government which while was not friendly toward Russia but at least was not following crazy orders from Washington. They understood that economic system based on being shitty toward US enemies with which you have borders and shitload of trade is not sustainable.
Azerbaijan, on the other hand is currently in the state of broken relationship with Russia and learning the same lesson.

Regarding to Georgia, I would like to add the thing I already posted multiple times.
This is about Nino Burjanadze, right hand of Saakashvili. She later parted away from him and talked about how americans behaved during Rose revolution. She literally desribed that as following: Americans came in with bags of money and asked who hated Russia the most and gave them these bags of money. Hatred of Russia was the only conditions for all these "USAID" grants.

Despite western media image of him Putin, in general has a policy of not meddling in other countries internal affairs. He seems to be concentrated less on ideology and more on economy. He allowed color revolutions in Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia just fine.
Russia could have occupied Georgia in 2008, but did not. Armenia is the same, Putin let people have their populist to get elected. Same with Ukraine. Russia let nazi to have their day twice - in 2004 and 2014.
 
As for Azerbaijan, it is open secret that Aliev is a thug and the country is deeply corrupt.
But that has been problem even during soviet times. All Caucuses and and Central Asian republics have deep cultural propensity to corruption. They are like Sicily in Italy.
I doubt that problem can be solved any time soon.

In other news. A mini scandal in opposition to regime in Kiev took place among their ranks.
Mentioned earlier Panchenko compiled a list of political prisoners of Elensky regime in order to send it to US Congress.
And Anatoly Shariy who was sentenced to 15 years in prison (in absentia) and who had survived two (I think) assassination attempts by ukrainian regime to his surprise did not find himself on the list and asked Panchenko about that. She said she forgot :)
Shariy interpreted it as Moscow preparing for elections in Ukraine and that they are trying to legalize all the opposition but he is not convenient to Moscow. He has a point, he is not very liked in Russia because he had made a lot of anti-russian statements early on.
But so did everybody, including Panchenko.
Speaking of russian "opposition". I have mentioned it before, all of them simultaneously and despite not liking each other very much at some point decided to avoid ukrainian issues. This should tell you that they realized that being opposed to "unprovoked invasion" does not win them any support among population. I guess all russians are disgusting amoral sociopaths.
But then again, what did you expect from people who invaded Germany in 1945?

Anyway, Panchenko pose herself as sane, rational and serious journalist who clearly (in my view) does not exclude becoming a president. Sharij is a bit loose cannon who started as a blogger (he still is) and then created a party under his name, which was banned and prevented from elections by Elensky Regime, he himself was a subject of countless criminal convictions and got 15 years.
He lives in Spain now and is under police protection it seems, becasue Elensky Regime tried to assassinate him.

OK, you can ignore all of this and go back to your usual "Unprovoked invasion, stupid russians are losing the war"

We generally ignore any of the bullshit you post unless you provide a source. And if the source is in cyrillic without a translation I will be deleting it from now on.
