I have a friend who likes Glenn Beck. I have never actually listened to Beck; I just lump him in the "nuts" category. The thing is, my friend is most definitely not stupid. Is it worth my time to even listen to Beck? I'm actually watching a few of his videos now...

Glenn Beck had to leave FOX News because he was too much of a crazy right-winger. 'Nuff said.

Glenn Beck is above Alex Jones on the high-functioning-realist to bat-shit-conspiracy-theorist spectrum.

Glenn Beck can actually be pretty funny.

I remember listening to his show after the McNabb Eagles lost the Super Bowl. He was based in Philadelphia at the time and he sent his producer out to a well known cheese steak place to ask for a McNabb sandwich.

The owner asked, "What's a McNabb sandwich?"

Producer, "You know, the kind that makes you choke."

. . . hmmm, maybe I found that funny because I'm a Patriots fan. :hmmm:

Glenn Beck is the Andy Kaufmann to the right-wing. It is merely an act. 9/11 was very good for him financially.

There was also a story about people talking about whether he had raped and killed a teenaged girl. Not that I believed the story, but it was odd that he wouldn't speak about it on his program. He has nothing to hide, right?

It really is suspicious how he keeps avoiding talking about that subject. I initially didn't give the story much credibility, but why is he stonewalling if he did nothing wrong?

Keep it out of the news and don't get his story twisted by a slip of the lip or a glib statement.

He's an opportunist and I can't stand him. He'll take whatever position he thinks will increase his ratings.
There are few on the radio I refuse to listen to. I've listened to most of them in my area, Beck, Hannity, Medved, Prager, Limbaugh, Levin, even Savage. I will not listen to Beck and haven't listened to him in several years.

Oh, God, where to start with Mr. Beck, or the Silver Otter, as Colbert calls him...
1- As noted above, he's too crazy for Fox 'News'. Trump isn't!! Beck is!!!
2- On his radio show, he (at least used to) play long music tracks of choirs humming and loo-looing as he delivered a 'thought piece' on some topic dear to him. (Sound of audience hurling.)
3- On his TV show, he uses a chalkboard like he's going to instruct the USA on his thinking. Right.
4- He went on and on about Christian Dominionism with some wackjob 'historian' whose name escapes me.
5- He's an ADULT CONVERT TO MORMONISM. This is how well he sorts out reality.
6- He can dissolve in tears at a moment's notice - true sign of a dangerous demagogue.
7- His worst offense --- his most inexcusable assault on taste and broadcasting standards and the minimum requirements for presentable human conduct: this habit he has of saying something coy and then looking obliquely up at the ceiling, as if to say, oh, what a rascal I am.

The only one I listen to (watch, actually, on FSTV) is Stephanie Miller. Funny shit, there. I'll occasionally do a little Thom Hartmann. Really smart guy but can be a little prone to conspiracy theories. Really like Mike Malloy too but haven't listened to him in years. We have no liberal talk stations here.

Glenn Beck is a patriotic Real AmericanTM, but not quite as much of a patriotic Real AmericanTM as Alex "Obama's secret weather machine" Jones.

If you question anything Beck says, that means you are an Islamofascist communoatheist who hates America and wants the terrorists to win!

I was quite surprised when i watched some talk show with him and Penn Jillette - he doesnt sound bat shit insane there, what gives?
Watch WWE. Watch Zeb Coulter talk. Same thing... it is all an act.
