Bush II is famous for his malapropisms, and they are hilarious and shouldn't be forgotten. But he was also a reader, and quite frequently referred to histories and biographies he was reading. Bush II was even deep in a book when the reports of 9-11 reached him. (Erm...skip that, the book was The Pet Goat.)
Of course, to Trump, a book is like green kryptonite. He can't understand how anyone reads a book. His briefings are reportedly cut to the core and involve a minimum of print. He is the worst sort of ass: he discounts the need for study or research and puts all his reliance on his gut instincts. He says so, frequently.
Exhibit A in the case for Trump's unbelievable ignorance is, for me (with so many exhibits to choose from), pronouncing Yosemite as "Yo, Semite!!" -- and this at a signing ceremony for the Great American Outdoors Act! Of course, he also thought that Washington's army had to capture airports, that Robert E; Lee spoke like an Irish buccaneer ("Never fight uphill, me boys") and, Oh Jesus, that Thailand is "Thighland". Which, to sex tourists like the Epstein gang, I guess it is...
 
George W. Bush had two to three decent contributions to the nation or world in his 8 years. One of them was the HIV support in Africa.

Trump is now risking to torch and burn that... unless a nation like Zambia gives in to his extortion and grants additional mineral rights.

Its sad but claims like that no longer suprise me about Trump.
 
In one year Trump has reduced the US's Democracy rating and erased 60 years of progress. And Freedom of expression is down to just after WWII.

The US is no longer a liberal democracy but an electoral democracy

“The speed with which American democracy is currently dismantled is unprecedented in modern history,” one of the world’s top democracy researchers says in a new report.

The Varieties of Democracies Institute, or V-Dem, a research group based in Sweden, cites the “suppression and intimidation of media and dissenting voices” as a key reason for the “derailment of democracy” in the United States.

The researchers say that freedom of expression in the US “is now at its lowest level since the end of WWII.”

Every time I see this at this point I see "and that's the point: to make people point at him and think he's more than a face-man. His whole purpose is to take the blame for all of this in the end, a unholy "sacrifice" to the tune of theocrats getting total control in a perversion of the passion play.
 
I'm less concerned about Trump calling him President as I am with Trump saying "everything about him is dumb". Dumb... that is the best he could mentally manage?
