Wow, it's way worse than I thought:
We haven’t lost 6 KC-135’s. We lost one. I think his numbers are off. But we have blown through a lot of expensive ammo.

Says who? Words on paper can't right wrong actions if there is no authority to enforce those words. The rules simply don't apply to this prick. So Trump will pull out of NATO tonight. This is just bizarre. The cornerstone of our security is gone. He’s a Russian agent.
He can't do it on his own.
There might be too much time between the "election" and now. I'm still not sold the election is even happening. The GOP is acting like nothing matters because there will be no consequences. This is why we desperately need dems to get off their ass and retake congress in November.

Then that guy knows zippo about how oil prices work.A guy on LO'D a couple nights ago said we are approaching the end of the pre-war oil we purchased and we should get ready for the prices to skyrocket.
I was mistaken. It wasn't Lawrence O'Donnell's show. It was Ari Melber's show and the person I was referring to is Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman. Then that guy knows zippo about how oil prices work.A guy on LO'D a couple nights ago said we are approaching the end of the pre-war oil we purchased and we should get ready for the prices to skyrocket.
The price of oil is determined in a futures market - the headline price per bbl is what you will currently pay for oil to be delivered in a couple of months time.
That is to say, if supplies are going to dry up in the near future, that fact has already been built into the price.
Most oil future delivery contracts are held by people who have no intention of having any oil delivered to them. They sell the delivery contracts to a refinery when they come due, and hope that on that date the contract is worth more than they boight it for. If they are left holding them on delivery day, they are in deep shit, because they have no oil handling facilities to recieve the shipments, and if that happens, they will have to pay someone who does have such facilities to take the oil off their hands.
That happened when COVID hit, and oil prices went negative - a bunch of futures traders couldn't find buyers for their contracts, so they 'sold' them at negative prices, ie paid someone to take the surplus even though they didn't really want it.
I'm wondering if this is less the oil price as much as the oil supply. We have the oil that was already working its way into the system and the pausing of oil from the Gulf States would start making itself noticed now. THAT can impact oil prices. I think we are starting to reach a point of issue for Asia, but we have a month or two until we start noticing issues.I was mistaken. It wasn't Lawrence O'Donnell's show. That isn't a special op mission... it is a full engineering mission.article said:The U.S. military has given the president a plan to seize nearly 1,000 pounds of highly enriched uranium in Iran that would involve flying in excavation equipment and building a runway for cargo planes to take the radioactive material out, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The complex plan was briefed to the president in the past week after he asked for a proposal, they said, as were its significant operational risks.
Trump’s request for the plan, previously unreported, signals his interest in contemplating what would be an unusually sensitive and high-stakes special operations mission. The administration’s consideration of such an operation was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Just as a reminder, the President is an idiot!
