Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

:hysterical:

I don't see the problem.
That's how I spell his name.
If I can find one of these watches for $20, I'll get one.

If I can find one of these watches for $20, I'll get one.

If it says “Rump” on it I might go $30.

Forget the watch. I'm shopping for the Rump Bible, the one with the handwritten lyrics to Back That Azz Up and the full-color reproduction of John Singer Sargent's President Taft Stepping Out of the Tub, with full butt cleavage. And yes I'm obsessed.

I can actually see this one as being more valuable then the correct ones. Like a coin with a minted flaw.
Having worked as a printer, I don't think this is a factory flaw.
I think it is a delibrate misprint or fake.
It's collectable value would only come from being in the news.
Whoever did it may have more, waiting for this one to auction for big bucks.

I had heard Rump had egged-on the J6 rioters, but I asumed it was in a tweet.
I am surprised to learn he actualy did it in person.
Capitol Riot: Minute by Minute | The Extremely Detailed Accounts of January 6

This was yet another thing that destroyed my belief that the system of checks and balances was an effective tool.

We only briefly studied the First Amendment, but the memorable thing we did cover was inciting riot being an exception to free speech, but Trump's crystal clear incite causing those fucking bastards to do what they did amounted to zip.

A guy on a street corner with a bullhorn encouraging people to throw rocks through windows, and such action subsequently taken by the crowd would no doubt be arrested for incitement, but when it comes to overthrowing a government, apparently it's okay.

For months he set it up and on the day of the occurrence continued to encourage his supporters to commit violence. Our norms and laws have been brutally raped.

Trump: There’s a lot of evidence. There’s tremendous evidence. There’s nothing but evidence. The election was rigged. And it’s happening again in California. They’re cheating.

Welker: Do you have evidence?

Trump: All I have to do is look.

Welker: That’s not evidence. The local officials acknowledge they are slow

Trump: They’re crooked. Just like you’re crooked. You’re either crooked or stupid.
Let's call it quits. Because I've had enough. Thank you darling

Man, his presidency has made this thread just like the Day without Bullshit thread.

Meanwhile in, "They first came for the... and I did nothing...", Mormons turn dial up to 11 for hypocrisy.

The new list, expected to take effect in July, recognizes 31 religious categories, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Baha'i, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, and non-religion. Christian denominations make up the majority of the new recognized religion categories. The military notes that individuals can still list religions not among the named 31 on their dog tags.

...

"Can anyone tell me why The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was left out of the list of Christian churches?" wrote GOP Utah Sen. Mike Lee, himself a Mormon, on X.
To paraphrase Sec. of Def. Hegseth from the Book of Jackson... Fuck you Senator.

We have no problem with marginalizing people's beliefs... but why isn't Mormonism counted under Christianity, that is intolerant!

It is like a terrible horror film, where people would save their lives by simply turning on the light or not doing some stupid ass thing. They are oblivious to what is happening right now.

The list has been updated to address the LDS complaints. Now there is no broad category of "Christians". All sects are listed separately. The Mormons will no longer need to get their magic undies in a twist:

Pentagon revises religious classification list after Utah lawmakers push for change

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Pentagon officials revised the new religious classification list after several days of criticism from Utah lawmakers.

Sen. John Curtis announced the change Monday morning, thanking Pentagon officials for listening to concerns from Utah's elected officials.

"The Pentagon's job is not to adjudicate theological debates, but instead to ensure sincerely held faith is respected and encouraged in our ranks," Curtis wrote on X. He thanked Pentagon officials for "listening to our concerns, engaging thoughtfully and respectfully with my office on this issue, and making a correction."

Curtis shared a statement from the Department of War's Rapid Response account, which said the issue stemmed from a proposed list of simplified faith codes released to the media last week.

"Last week, a proposed list of simplified faith codes was released to the media," the department said. "The Pentagon list included redundant and unnecessary labeling, and the mistake has been fixed."

It says they include agnostics but got rid of atheists. Just proves again agnostics are corporate sellouts.

What about Scientology?
Is it disqualified for being too recently invented? How does THAT work?

And no FSM. Geez. Just when you get new religious headgear from Crate & Barrel.

Well, there is catch-all category called "Other" for all the miscellaneous religions out there.
What if I DONT WANT TO BE A “OTHER”!??!?
Not to mention it foists you off onto whatever denomination volunteers to chaplain for "other". Are they a Christian? Maybe. Or maybe a Unitarian Universalist (less bad, I guess?). Or maybe younger stuck without a real chaplain at all.
