Covid-19 miscellany

Six feet of separation in public and a tad bit of supplies hoarding has become ingrained in my behavior.
Six feet is bad data.

The problem is in reality there is either airborne or not airborne, there is no intermediate state. The problem comes from tuberculosis, which is a very large bacterium. Transmission is pretty much limited to a few feet because of this.
It was a couple things. Firstly, it was desperate. People wanted out, they wanted out now. The CDC needed to figure out a best worst option.

Second, there was the tunnel vision regarding water droplet buoyancy in air, not merely the virus. There was an awakening moment during the pandemic regarding that when someone looked into it because of a 'uh oh' moment of clarity.

Covid/Wuhan mimicked this behavior when in reality it came down to having a minimum effective dose for transmission. Outside six feet you were unlikely to be exposed to enough to get past the defenses and actually contract the disease.

I can't remember if it was Delta or Omicron, but we now see a typical airborne transmission pattern. Risk is based on the number of infected individuals vs the volume of the airspace, distance is much less of a factor.
Missed my point completely.

Yet another study the deniers were promoting goes down. It did it's job, the fools do not pay attention to retractions.
Of course they'll just claim Big Pharma took it down to suppress it, because they don't understand how retractions work.

…because they don't understand how retractions work.
“They” (consumers of anti-science nonsense) don’t understand much beyond adjusting timing, gapping plugs and points and measuring powder for reloads.
Beyond that, it’s all mumbo jumbo, and anything lumping things beyond their understanding into one disposable garbage bag, makes them feel like they’re Tony Fauci’s superior.

Get used to it, he does that all the time :)
