Climate Change(d)?

Mr TSwizzle, if not climate science exactly what makes you think climate has always changed?

Evidence, Steve. (y)
Why do you claim climate has has always changed, what is the evidence for past climate change, and what are the causes of past climate change?

The causes for currenttemertre rise has been examined to you many times.

There is a long running tread with thousands of posts. The author of the thread uses the same shtick as you.

She asks for evidence, it is provided, and she keeps asking what is the evidence. Refswes to acknowledged the evidence.

Do you think there are no issues with air pollution and we have nothing to worry about with rising temperatures?

In the news La just had a record setting heat wave.

Well ,the Earth's climate has always change over 4 billion years. Ice ages, ages of the dinosaurs, etc. When early life evolved on earth the atmospere would have been toxic to life today. 20,000 years ago much of northern north america was under a mile of ice.

The difference is that baring another huge asteroid impact, those changes took thousand or hundreds of thousands of years.

Humans have managed to do it in 100 years.

Your tactisc and evasions do not work here.

You clam there has always been climate change as if there is nothing aunusual abut the rapid changes we are seeing globally.

What were the causes of past climate change and what is causing the temperature rise we see today?

If it is not human air pollution and is natural climate change, what is the natural cause?

Plenty of information on the net and natural coollng and warmonger cycles.

The Sahara was once wet and green. Watched documentary on it.

One of the known cycles.

AI Overview
Yes, the Sahara Desert was once a green, wet landscape covered in grasslands, trees, and massive lakes. This lush era is known as the African Humid Period or the Green Sahara. It lasted roughly from 14,500 to 5,000 years ago. What the Green Sahara Looked LikeWater: Huge freshwater lakes, rivers, and wetlands spanned the region. For example, ancient Lake Chad grew into Mega Lake Chad, which was larger than some modern inland seas.Wildlife: Hippos, crocodiles, elephants, giraffes, rhinoceroses, and fish thrived in the wet environment.People: Nomadic hunter-gatherers and early human communities lived across the region, leaving behind rock art of animals and daily life. Why It Was WetEarth's Orbit: Slow changes in Earth's tilt and orbital wobble increased summer solar radiation in the Northern Hemisphere.Stronger Monsoons: This extra heat supercharged the African monsoon, pushing heavy seasonal rains much farther north into the desert.Nature's Feedback Loop: More rain grew more plants. Plants trapped moisture and reflected less sunlight, which kept the monsoon strong. Why It Dried UpAs Earth's orbital cycle shifted again, solar energy in the north decreased. The monsoon rains moved back to the south around 5,500 years ago, turning the region back into a dry desert. Geological records show this greening cycle has happened about 230 times over the last 8 million years.Further Exploration:

There are no assignable naturall causes for current temperature rise.

An imperceptible rise in the global average temperature is nothing to obsess about Steve. Even scoldilocks Greta has moved on fella.

The jig is up.

So, air pollution is not a problem of any kind?

Not imperceptible. Where do you get that? All biology is tied to temperature.

Old news in Texas,

Texas is not completely uninhabitable right now, but rising summer temperatures and severe strain on local infrastructure mean parts of the state are facing dangerous heat stress.

The TSwizzle Guide To Climate Change

1. This obsession with carbon really needs to stop.
2. This obsession with CO2 is coming to an end.
3. Teh Gruaniad says
4. It is a catastrophic 75 degrees today.
5. He’s a cultist.It is a catastrophic 73 degrees in Santa Monica today
6. It really is a rapture like cult.
7. It really is a religion for you.
8 You are dumber than I thought
9. Climate always changes.
10. Human activity has very little impact on the climate compared to what occurs naturally.
11. CO2 does not control the earth’s climate.
12. Net Zero is sold as the only thing that will save the planet from the climate apocalypse
13. I’d rather discuss science with Christians
14, Climate change is propaganda pushed by politicians and activists.
15. Scientists are climate atavists, ergo climate science is wrong,
16. The climate "scientists" have been predicting climate catastrophe for decades. No catastrophes, we are still here.
17 🙄
18. An imperceptible rise in the global average temperature is nothing to obsess about

Oh noes!!11!!!

Santa Monica is where it’s at.

Santa Monica is where it is at?

So is the North Pole. So what?

Santa Monica is your reference point for global climate issues?

The old California stereotype. Life is wonderful in la-la land. Sand.sun, and surf. Nothing exists outside of it.

Here in Seattle we have had a few hot summers in recent years, this year has been more in line with usual temperate local weather.er. Upper 70s 80s and 50s 60s at night.

Not so across the Cascades in Eastern Washington. Not so in other areas of the country.

Note that the human danger zone is when air temperature approaches body temperature, around 98f. Your body can not conduct internal heat away to air.

Santa Monica is your reference point for global climate issues?
Santa Monica is his reference point for denial of global climate issues. It’s his rock, he’s hiding under it, and you can’t make him come out!
😂

Meh. Swiz gloating over the fact that the rate of climate or sea level change will not likely affect SC coastal property values within his lifetime, is reflective of a simple Randian approach to living.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that; a lot of rodent species have been phenomenally successful.
Beach rats know before the big eclipse tide, to move their nests higher in the sand. They don’t worry about climate change; they’re used to moving their nests.
Be like a beach rat. Don’t worry, be happy!

I wish I could afford a property on the coast, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
Let's see what El Niño does to SoCal this winter. You may get your wish without having to move.

Not sure what you mean here. I live in the SFV so no matter what, rising sea level, earthquakes, whatever, there is no chance my house will ever be beach front. But El Niño is a recurring weather event, I’m sure I’ll be fine.

Weather is not climate change.

Add that to your list (y)
Global climate drives local weather patterns.

Ocean and air temperatures form a giant thermodynamic heat engine. that sterns climate andlocal weather.

As a Californian you must know the effects of El Niño and La Niña

El Niño typically brings wetter, cooler winters and increased storm risks to California, while La Niña generally leads to warmer, drier conditions and higher wildfire risks.

What is El Niño?
Warm Phase: Ocean surface temperatures in the central and eastern tropical Pacific become much warmer than average.Weak Winds: Trade winds that normally blow west across the Pacific slow down or reverse.Effects: It brings heavy rain and floods to South America, droughts to Australia and Indonesia, and a warmer winter to parts of North America.

What is La Niña?Cool Phase: Ocean surface temperatures in the same region become cooler than average.Strong Winds: Trade winds blow east-to-west with more strength than usual.Effects: It causes dry conditions in the southern US, heavy rains in Southeast Asia, and a more active Atlantic hurricane season.

A natural climate cycle driven by small changes in ocean temperatures,

El Nino
Temperature Change: Sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern tropical Pacific rise at least 0.5°C (0.9°F) above average for months. Strong events can exceed 2.0°C above normal.
La Nina
Temperature Change: Sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern equatorial Pacific drop at least 0.5°C below average.

A 1 degree average global ocean temp rise is huge.

Warmer Gulf air from the south mixing with cold arctic air from the north means stringer storms and rain in our mid west.

Yes, cold Arctic air from the north frequently collides and mixes with warm, moist Gulf air in the Midwest. This phenomenon is the primary driver behind the region's most severe and volatile weather events across all seasons.Because North America lacks an east-to-west mountain range to block air flow, the Great Plains and Midwest serve as a giant, open corridor where radically different air masses clash.

Yes, the collision of cold Arctic air and warm Gulf air is the primary atmospheric engine that creates Tornado Alley.According to the UCAR Center for Science Education, the unique geography of the central United States allows these completely opposite air masses to slam into each other without any major mountain ranges to block them. This continuous, violent meeting of weather systems creates the perfect ingredients for severe supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes.

Climate change is driving an eastward shift of traditional "Tornado Alley" away from the central Plains and toward the Midwest and the Southeast.

Hence the increase in severer storms in the eastern America, as has been in the news.

Global ocean temperatures determine where drought occurs. The Colorado which is partt of La water supply is pretty much consumed. Other sources are effected by drought and decreasing snow packs.

Where LA Gets Its WaterThe City of Los Angeles relies on a mix of local and imported water sources, purchased or managed through the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). The main supplies include:The Colorado River: Water travels through the 242-mile Colorado River Aqueduct from Lake Havasu. It supplies a variable share (roughly 10% to 25% depending on the year and hydrological conditions) of the city's total needs. The Los Angeles Aqueduct: This system brings snowmelt from the Owens Valley and the eastern Sierra Nevada. The State Water Project: This system brings water from Northern California via the California Aqueduct.Local Supplies: Local groundwater basins and recycled water make up the rest of the supply.
Los Angeles does not face an immediate day-to-day water shortage, but the city faces severe long-term risks because it relies heavily on water imported from hundreds of miles away.

The future for southern Cal dies not look good.

All of the above is well established basic sciencee.

El Nino La Nina are natural climate cycles based in ocean torturer.

The rapid climate change we se is created by human air pour tin which traps heat like a blanket raising ocean temperature.
