Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

So Trump has said he will no longer charge the taxpayers for his political commercials. What about paying us back?

As the conflict in Iran is on the verge of ending for the last eight months, Trump continues dumping oil to save a few nickels at the pump. Lowest the reserves have been in decades.
article said:
The US energy backstop already sits at the lowest level seen since October of 1982, and a withdrawal of another 40 million barrels would put the reserve at its lowest level since records began being kept earlier in 1982, as the backstop was still coming online under President Ronald Reagan.

For his part, President Trump continues to project confidence that the US reserves will be quickly refilled. He told a crowd in Alabama over the weekend that, because of an energy deal with Venezuela, "we're going to be filling up very shortly our strategic reserves for nothing."
Yea! Free Venezuela oil... tar sand oil... to be pumped out of the ground and shipped for free by underwear gnomes.

So much winning, I can only imagine MAGA feels like they are playing the slots when getting gas.

That dirty oil will destroy our reserve facility caverns. So I fully suspect Trump will have that stuff pumped in.

Trump kind of all over the road here.
[qutoe=article]Speaking at a midterm-election rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, Trump argued Americans should accept the economic impact, most notably higher gasoline prices, resulting from the Iran war.

"It's a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe," he said.

"They can take out a city. Let 'em take out Los Angeles, let 'em take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay" Trump added to applause from the crowd.[/quote]
This is getting press for it being interpreted that he said Iran should take out LA or San Diego. I don't think he said that, but honestly, I have no idea what he was saying.
"It's a small price to pay for keeping the world safe" -> "Higher prices are the cost of safety"
"They can take out a city." -> "Iran could have attacked a US city"
"Let 'em take out LA, let 'em take out San Diego" -> Did he mean to say "They could have taken out LA or San Diego"? This sentence is very poorly expressed.
"This is a very small price to pay" -> Back on target "Higher prices are the cost of safety"

So while his speech was *unintelligible* there for a moment, I think that isn't the story.

The story is can we get to the part where Trump hasn't actually secured the nuclear material, or in any real way stopped Iran from developing a bomb? And can we get to the part where Trump seems to be alluding to this might be the new status quo?

Plus the fact that he had claimed to have completely oblitherated Iran's nuclear capability summer of 2025.

So he started this war partly to stop Iran from having nukes that he had previously claimed to have completely oblitherated and now that job still isn't done.

We need verification. Shouldn't Trump and Hegseth actually get inside the Iranians' gas centrifuges, where the enrichment happens? I will feel safe only when our leaders get inside those machines, so we can know what the hell is going on. I'm sure there are many other loyal Americans who feel this way. Many people are saying, get Trump and Heggy inside, so we can be informed.

Joe Biden used to be considered a gaffe machine, but Trump doesn't make gaffes. This is no slip of the tongue, mistake, or blunder. It is just normal mental deterioration in an old man who is continuing to spiral downward.

That would be a good start. But once they’re inside the centrifuges we should spin ‘em up and separate Trump and Hegseth into their component elements.

What Trump said mental. He can't string sentences together to make sense.

Trump
I want to see a tremendous victory. You want to see a tremendous victory because it verifies all the things we did. And again, remember, with the war, it’s just artificial. It’s a little bit high. It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe.

They can take out a city. Let them take, let them take out Los Angeles; let them take out San Diego. That’s — this is a very small price to pay, and it’s going to be over with very soon. It’s essentially almost over with.

And they might keep going a little long. You know, they always say they have a big threshold for pain. They need it. Let me tell you, they need it. But it’s going to end very soon. And it’ll end one way or the other. And your gas and your gasoline and all of the things.

And don’t forget, we also took on a country known as Venezuela. They never talk about that. They never talk about Venezuela. And we’re taking in hundreds of millions of barrels of oil every week. We’re pouring oil. We’re pouring oil into this country like nobody’s ever seen before.

Yup. I keep hearing Republicans trying to defend this by explaining what he really meant. He may very well have meant it. But if his statement needs an explanation as to what he "really" meant, then he's mentally incompetent and should be removed by the 25th Amendment. I'm tired of right wing pundits explaining what he really meant. It doesn't help your cause. If the man is that incapable of expressing himself, he shouldn't be president. What's next? He really didn't mean to order the nukes to fly? Uhhh too late.

And regardless, what was really disgusting was that the crowd cheered the thought of seeing Los Angeles and San Diego nuked. Fucking MAGA.

The context overall implies he derailed for a moment. The problem we have is that it wouldn't be below Trump to advocate as such.

Trump is ever merciful. Praise be.

Donald Trump has been branded "cheap" and a "hypocrite" after inadvertently revealing where he gets his suits from.

The 80-year-old president was delivering a speech in Grand Island, Nebraska on Monday evening when at some point the buttons on his suit jacket became undone. As YMCA played at the conclusion of his speech, Trump briefly opened up his jacket before closing it to redo the buttons.

As he did so, the president revealed the label inside the suit, showing that it was from Jos. A. Bank, a suit retailer that boasts of its "everyday low prices." Suits from Jos. A. Bank start at $149.99 but typically range from $249.99 to $580 and are manufatured overseas in Asian countries such as China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It comes just days after a lip reader spotted Ivanka Trump's 3-word order to JD Vance as they whispered at the White House.

Needed to go to wedding and I hadn't bought a suit in 25 years. They still fit, but it was time. I did a check online about where not to go, and atop the list was places like Jos A Bank because you are paying 2x for a cheap suit. With a sale, you might get closer to what it is actually worth, which isn't much. Granted, Trump likely doesn't buy his stuff and likely can't read the labels without glasses. So someone probably has a $25k budget, then spending $2500 on a several suits, and pocket the rest.

Trump's a dick who says stupid shit, and encouraging us to hate each other has been a consistent part of his schtick. In other news, it's been reported that allowing your kid to fall into a gorilla enclosure may not be in the child's best interests.
