All Politicians Lie - Some More Than Others

Wow. 7% of the things Trump says are actually true? I would not have guessed that.

Also, how did Carson get up to 4%? I don't think that questions like "Is your name Ben Carson?" should count, because he'll get that right almost half the time just by guessing.

Stopped clocks.

Of course, politicians lie. Many feel that it is the best worse option available to them because of the electorate's unrealistic expectations of them.

Take the Iraq war. It was born out of lies, WMD's, support for 9/11, mushroom clouds above our cities, the axis of evil, etc. And executed with incompetence, there is no civil war, and more lies, we don't torture. An immense cluster f*ck that is the direct cause of many of the problems that we see today in the Middle East, ISIS, recruiting poster for radical Muslims, a nuclear Iran (partial), many more heavy arms in the hands of radicals, weak governments, etc.

Not only do the perpetrators of the mess, neocons, conservatives and Republicans, have to continue to lie about the war, i.e. not accepting the lies now disrespects the brave solders who fought there. Democrats like Clinton who voted for the war feel that it is the least worse option compared to admitting that they were wrong or the George Romney mistake, I believed their lies.

Lies beget more lies.
