NASCAR CEO and some of his cronies endorsed Trump today. Afterward, Trump said no one else can win and they might as well stop the election. Is the nail really in the coffin of the American people or does Trump need some additional endorsement, like from Budweiser or the Kardashians?

Nail. Coffin.

What's funny is that I work with a Cruz supporter who still confidently thinks Trump is running as a joke and is bound to drop out any day now...

I'm hopeful of that too. Oddly, I think Cruz could do worse than Trump, and be without all the baggage.

I'm waiting for April 1st, Pope and Trump hug on a stage, and Trump yells into the microphone, live from New York, it's Saturday Night Live.

Ya, I agree. The idea that there's a Cruz supporter who can actually think is pretty funny.

Does this mean the race for the Republican Nomination is going to get real boring, and a woman will start running and everyone will complain about how the woman never does better than fifth?

Trump's polls show Sanders or Clinton at this point in time would drub him. Trump is doing us all a favor by defeating the wretched Teddy Cruz and sending him home crying. Our local far right radio shock jock, Michael Berry is a big Cruz supporter and loathes Trump. His program airs lots of ads for legal outfits that are aimed at people with serious IRS problems and out of control credit card debt. Its going to be a pleasure to hear him bawl and shriek come Wednesday when his boy Cruz is history and his hated nemesis Trump takes a resounding win. Far right radio hysteric Mark Levin is another one who despises Trump. I don't think any of the far right programs advertise NASCAR events.

But we haven't yet had: Porn Stars for Trump

SNL doesn't count...

NASCAR is not one person and a handful of his associates.

The headline should be "A few rich guys buy into Trump's bullshit".

It is surreal to see the reaction to Trump by the AM Radio empire. Hannity seems to like Trump and blames establishment Republicans (he apparently doesn't see himself as part of the establishment for some reason) for this revolution. I know the thinking right-wing AM radio heads Bennett, Medved, and Prager don't really like Trump, but I don't think they actually have a horse in the race at this point.

NASCAR fans may very well split 50-50 Trump/Cruz.

If it is Trump against Hillary there is no way to know who will win.

Both have huge negatives.

Hillary does not excite people on the left at all. Many of them will have something better to do on election day. And many on the right will never vote for her under any circumstances.

Trump has to swerve fantastically to even have a shot against Clinton. Right now, he is looking to lose vast majority of the minority vote. That means needing to win the white vote by a huge margin, say 3 to 2. Not going to happen. Clinton doesn't excite people, but Trump frightens people. And the failures he has stuck his name on are going to come out and his business image will start to be exposed as being a fraud.

Once Trump is the Republican nominee you will see Republicans of all kinds saying he is their guy.

But few on the left are going to be excited by a Hillary nomination.

It will be interesting to see because there are a lot of Republicans who hate Trump.

What's funny is we have all these candidates, 2 that are anti-establishment but none that are good.

Like McCain, like Romney? These guys couldn't win the electoral college, a task that gets harder and harder every election cycle. There is math the Republicans are facing, and their policies make their electoral chances harder and harder. And with Trump's statements on minorities, it'll be extremely hard to win enough minority vote to stay within the realm of having a chance of winning the election. Losing the minority vote badly in Colorado and Virginia pretty much puts the election out of reach.

But few on the left are going to be excited by a Hillary nomination.
The Democrats haven't been too excited except for in '08, yet we've won the plurarlity every time since '92 except in '04.

For people on the left of the spectrum Sanders is as good a candidate as possible.

He excites the left and gives them hope that maybe something decent will happen in this nation.

He is a great candidate and if he got his way and made the US more like places like Germany the lives of millions would be improved.

With Trump we don't have a clue what he will do.

With Hillary we can expect a continuation of Obama's centrist policies and an improvement in nothing.

Like McCain, like Romney?

Yes exactly.

And they lost because they ran against somebody who did get people excited.

Most likely they both would have beaten Hillary.

What is incredible is that after all the gnashing of teeth during the 8 years of Obama, and knowing Hillary Clinton was going to be in the wings, the Republicans have almost absolutely no one worth running under the Establishment banner and the hatred that the bore the Tea Party is backing crazy candidates, much like it backed Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Richard Mourdock in races the party should have easily won.

Oh hell yeah! One thing even her supporters know is she doesn't set crowds on fire. And as for making history, she will not have broken the white man glass ceiling so she gets to be first, well, second.

woo hoo.
