i won't go so far as i say "it's time", but i will definitely say "it was going to start happening sooner or later."

you simply can't oppress a specific group for this long without some sort of backlash happening.
and while the oppression not being public or from a specific source, and the oppressed being dispersed and not individually focused has made it a long slow burn that took a while to rise to the level of random violence, it has always been inevitable that this was going to happen.

I agree. There is no direction in shooting. Shooting is the problem.

How many would have been killed if clubs and rocks were the only weapons available?

Better yet, how many would have been killed if we taught civility as the primary ingredient in civilization.

You can't run two experiments of alternate universes where this event did and did not happen. But I suspect this will actually lead to less killings on whole.
 
What was particularly chilling, if true, was the story relayed on NPR about a convenience store where the window was destroyed by a sniper bullet. Some people started looting alcohol. A couple dozen cops went in and circled the store to prevent any more looting. Those around them, allegedly started mocking the officers and the officers that were killed.

Almost like they wanted a war between themselves and the cops. They wanted blood. They as in the alleged people making with these actions, not they as in an entire race of people.

On Wednesday night I was watching protest streams in Minnesota (on the NOTHIEVESALLOWED youtube channel), and the screaming at police was the most heated I have even seen. Two of three times I said to myself that police were going to be shot at a protest soon.

Protest screams are some intense things to watch.

white people in the US marginalize black people socially and economically, cast them in the role of the suspicious outsider culturally, blame them (collectively) for a situation which is entirely the fault of whites, and then wonder why some of them are drawn to the allure of powerful and culturally distinct images and ideas about black identity.

So the cops sent in a robot with a bomb attached to it and blew him up after negotiations broke down. That is fucking insane.

Should have laid a siege longer on the guy and gotten useful, maybe critical information out of him.

Did the Chamber of Commerce say blow him up because laying siege to him would have cost the city money?
 
Obviously, the shooter felt that the protest of the BLM fell considerably short of what was required.

He shot these police during a BLM protest!

Would he have done this if he agreed with the BLM about their protests of the Minneapolis and Baton Rouge shootings? ?

Why do they flock to Trump and the Republicans though, who are largely responsible for the marginalization of the poor, whether white or black?

Wouldn't poor whites have more in common with poor blacks than they do with the billionaire Trump and the political party that works only for the rich?

It seems to be counterintuitive. But this is why racism has lasted for so long, because it is used by the powerful to divide the poor.

What? Was the shooter trying to rid the nation of white people? The shooting was in retaliation of shootings of blacks by cops. If anything, this is a revenge mass killing.
