From that interview I can't fully believe his take on how he was in the BNP (that he came to the first meeting with his black friend and didn't realize it was white only, but thought it was against new immigration and Islam in general) or why he attacked the fellow inmate (a Somali he said was ready to throw hot sugar water in his face from a cup in his hand)

But what about you? Do you think EU was right to take in millions of Muslim migrants in the last few years? And they are still continuing to do it, doing virtually nothing to deport or deter further mass migration.

People in boats like these are not being turned away but are being brought into Europe even if they are picked up off the coast of Libya or other non-European countries. Do you agree with that policy or do you think they should be sent back?

The Regressive Left vs The Xenophobic Right..... this can not end well. We are in desperate need of more sensible voices and rational. There is a distinct and obvious difference between a willingness to accept asylum seekers/refugees and actively recruiting people to come (i.e. "importation"). Your comment and your response conflate acceptance of refugees and asylum seekers with actively seeking immigrants. It confuses dealing with external forces (migration) with internal choices ("importation"). Those are important distinctions that disinterested observers and rational policy makers understand and that you apparently don't.

BTW, you import goods and services (i.e. property and property rights). The only people one can import are slaves.

I think the EU needs to figure out what they are willing to do. Continuing expelling people takes effort and resources that are better used elsewhere. Simply deporting people addresses the symptoms but not the causes.

For a plain working man with little education he was able to form a nationwide movement. He eventually quit with his deputy leader when he said the EDL was infiltrated with extremists. I think if he had joined the labour party he may have been expelled like George Galloway for being a socialist.
He did in one documentary claim there were too many Muslims in certain areas, but some may say this is racist. I am not so sure. He claims to have Muslim friends, some of whom turned up to his wedding. He's not a perfect character as he 'did bird' (London for jailed, like a caged bird).

I think his movement attracted some racists and as such resulted in his departure.

I think he could have been more approachable regarding this but in the end had dialogue with various Muslims (inviting them to EDL meetings). However I believe the violence spread into the EDL and this was not controlled enough. Thus Robertson resigned.

I haven't explored his views very well at all. I can only pass on anecdotal hearsay from others. What is commonly bandied about is that he often seems very reasonable in interviews, etc. then goes on to be a racist prick on Twitter and so on.
