IKEA: What the hell are you thinking?!?

So let me see if I've got all this right...

Ikea has raised the wages of their lowest paid employees to something a few ticks above minimum wage. They've said it won't affect their bottom line. This is good, right?

Ikea sells crap furniture, of course, but not everyone can afford solid oak and/or old world quality furniture so by selling low priced stuff Ikea is...bad?

Because it seems to me that it is a net "good" if a company that sells lower end merchandise to lower end earners bumps up their wages. And as for saving trees, it isn't like Ikea is the only outfit selling stuff made from processed leftover timber.

Am I missing something here?

No, that's pretty much it. Just like if McDonalds gave everybody a raise, a Quarter Pounder with fries and a large Coke would still have the same nutritional value.
