Rolling Coal: Conservatives ‘screw’ Obama by modifying trucks to spew toxic black smoke

For me, I do not accept that sort of drivel so I checked up on it before commenting.

Checked up on it where?

See, I can google with the best of 'em, but I have no way of knowing if the web pages I found correspond with the web pages you found.

According to the google I just did (coal rolling) there are give or take thirty four point nine million possibilities.

You said you found "a few."

Which ones?

Did you find a lot of coal roller pages that appeared political?

I didn't find any. This was the nature of my comment you seem to find so controversial.

You need a refresher in using the Googles.

Conservatives who detest President Barack Obama and EPA clean air regulations are modifying their vehicles to purposefully spew black smoke into the atmosphere.

So-called “coal rollers” install smoke stacks and special equipment in their diesel trucks that makes the engine think that it needs more fuel, resulting in plumes of black smoke.

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

These morons will end up paying much more in fuel costs and risk destroying their expensive to fix diesel engines just to say "screw you" to Obama.

And here is the solution.

Obama needs to take a stronger stance against suicide.

I really think these guys are just into their diesel trucks (I like to barbecue outside with real charcoal.) I think the left has picked up on this and made it a liberal rallying point when it would be best to just ignore them.

No, that's not quite right. You've made several comments about how the articles else is just reading a bunch of lefty echo-chambers. So we all know you're finding sites that make it seem political. You've as much as admitted it and subsequently pretending otherwise isn't going to fool anyone.

The point of disagreement is whether there are sites that make coal-rolling seem apolitical. You are the only person claiming it is apolitical.

Unlike everyone else participating in this thread, you've got a claim other people disagree with. If your claim had some basis it would be trivially easy for you to demonstrate that basis. And you're not demonstrating it.

Hey, sanity rears it's ugly head.

My original comment was that I went to these guys websites and they did not seem political.

The fact that some guy wrote an article that duped lefty dupes into thinking it was political that has since been echoing about the lefty echo chamber was a secondary point.

I don't have a claim. I had an observation. Two if you count the one about lefty dupes in lefty echo chambers being unable to bother to do a basic reality check before echoing things about the echo chamber.

My original comment was that I went to these guys websites and they did not seem political.
Of course. But see, without links to those apolitical sites you found, we can't be sure if some coal-rollers are apolitical ,or if a substantial number of coal rollers are apolitical, or if you just project your beliefs onto the websites for the purpose of your main agenda which is that libruls are wrong.
Kinda like the creationists who always see science as either a conspiracy or supporting creationism.
I don't have a claim. I had an observation.
That's the same thing, dismal. You SAY you observed certain things on the internet.
No one is willing to accept your observation at face value.

I don't have a claim.

Oh? That claim (that you don't have a claim) seems a bit incongruous with two paragraphs ago:

My original comment was that I went to these guys websites and they did not seem political.

Oh, wait a sec:

I don't have a claim. I had an observation.

Lots of word-mincing going on there.

Tell you what though: Using words like "observation" and "comment" in regards to your claim will fail to distract anyone from your inability to support your claim.

OK, fine, my claim is that

1) I went to some of these coal roller websites
2) I observed they were not very political

What is it about this claim you find so controversial?

What is your counter claim?

I did not go to any coal roller websites?

I did observe them to be very political?

On what do you base these claims of yours?

When this first popped up, I did a Google search on coal rollers and it led me to nonpolitical sites and you tube videos. I just tried the search again and the index is filled with blog spam about the evil coal rollers. Here is a video made by the Carolina Coal Rollers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg9yXQM1aIA They don't seem much different than people that are into old muscle cars. Their motive is to have fun, not to make a statement.

However, I could see a backlash happening. If they are going to get criticized by the liberals they might as well turn it up to 11.

This is getting ridiculous.

Let me suggest a course of action a reasonable person in your shoes might follow:

1) got to some coal roller websites (I looked at the first 4 or 5 that show up when you google "coal rollers".)
2) observe them
3) stop arguing with me about this until you have done that
4) come back and tell us what you found

I once walked into the Triple K bar in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They didn't seem like white supremacists at all.
