American Lawyer for Justice Michael Avenatti just umm... got indicted for attempting to extort Nike. The guy who actually considered himself Presidential nominee material (to push a book deal?), was... err... just role the tape:

The Manhattan US Attorney's office said Monday that it is charging attorney Michael Avenatti "for attempting to extract more than $20 million in payments from a publicly traded company by threatening to use his ability to garner publicity to inflict substantial financial and reputational harm on the company if his demands were not met."

Seems Stormy Daniels knows how to pick lovers and lawyers.

I'm not surprised by this at all. Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin called this last summer or fall. She said she'd be surprised if he were not in prison in a year's time.

I'm just happy that at least one egotistical white man is now removed from US politics. He had made noises about running for President.

I give him credit, though, for two things: standing up for women in sex work so boldly and effectively with Stormy Daniels and for his comments to the press regarding R Kelly and his enablers. That was badass. I'd be terrified if I were in R Kelly's inner circle.
