Pepe, the OK hand sign, and now apparently Clowns are racist??? I have, and I'll bet 99% of you have, only ever heard of these from the "anti-racist" regressive left and not from racists themselves. Are these people just stupid, giving all this attention and air time to white supremacists, or are they white supremacists themselves, or are they just looking for clicks/buys/attention?

I'm going with 'stupid', but with self-satisfying specious reasoning. For example, they'll probably say "even if it was manufactured from whole cloth by 4chan/8chan trolls to mock anti-racist gullibility, the fact that they want to mock us is a sign they are pro-racist white supremacists and therefore their symbol is ipso facto racist".

Am I the only one who never hears anything at all about these left wing “attacks” on the right until after the snowflakes start crying about how oppressed they are?

Am I on the wrong leftist email lists or something?

I don't know. I've seen dozens of threads at this web board about racist clowns.

Wait...

We are talking about the Trump Admin, right?

Alt-right trolls trying to punk leftists are not a separate group from white supremacists. They are a subset of white supremacists.

The whole point of these "hoaxes" is to create actual empirical associations of a widely used symbol or meme with white supremacy, so that they can then point to liberals as being silly and paranoid.

But the undeniable fact is that white supremacists have made use of these symbols for the purpose of creating that association. Richard Spencer wore a Pepe pin. And why did the guys who helped create the "hoax" by punking a reporter about a "Pepe campaign" choose the Daily Caller to later reveal their hoax? Because that is the audience the "hoax" was created to please. The Daily Caller is written by and for white supremacists, has published a number of articles by well known white supremacists, and whose editor had friendships with Richard Spencer and several other known white supremacists and had written several articles published in Spencer's white supremacist Radix Journal. The only reason Carlos fired this editor was b/c he allowed his white supremacy to become too explicit and not deniable, unlike the more subtle wink-wink form of white supremacy that Carlson prefers to traffic in.

The association of these memes with the alt-right is objectively real, and so is the roots of the alt-right in white supremacy. Thus, it isn't actually a "hoax", but rather an attempt by a subset of white supremacists to create something they could then claim was a hoax to make the media and liberal look like they've been "fooled". But they were not actually fooled, b/c a an actual empirical association with white supremacy was created in the process of creating the "hoax".

And that real association makes reactions to the "hoax" highly predictive of one's sympathy to white supremacists. Namely, all those dishonestly denying the real association and pretending it's nothing but a figment of liberals imaginations are trying to help provide cover for white supremacy.

It's like planting several actual bombs that look like fire hydrants, then calling in a millions of fake threats about fire hydrants bombs all over the world, then laughing at the "silly" people who are running around worried that the hydrant near them is a bomb.

This is a good Honkler twitter account

https://twitter.com/honkhonkler?lang=en

Yes, it is a "good" illustration of the real objective association between the meme and white supremacy. First, it isn't just "a clown". It's Pepe the frog as a clown. And in the last 24 hours that account has tweeted out how much he's in love with the white supremacist Ann Coulter, how the US should be have more "racial homogeneity" like Israel, saying "the girl of my dreams" in reference to a video of a blonde positioning a toy soldier outside a department store so it's giving a Hitler salute, and post claiming that suicide rates in Germany plummeted in 1933 thanks to Hitler (pointing to high suicide rates around 1930 was standard propaganda by Nazis to attack the failure of the Weimar Republic). Plus a number of anti-Semitic comments.

Most of the accounts that it retweets or that reply to it's posts (a number of them with Pepe or Clown referenes) are similarly rife with blatant white supremacist rhetoric, plus holocaust denial and other anti-antisemitism.

IOW, only people for whom such views and ideas are highly normal and familiar would fail to immediately see the vile white supremacy that is the foundation of that account and most of the accounts that it retweets, or that follow and comment positively on it's tweets.
Accounts like that are a litmus tests for white supremacy. The longer it takes a person to recognize the white supremacy those accounts are promoting, the more of a white supremacist that person is.

Internet memer 1: hey I have an idea, let's get liberals all riled up about Pepe and clowns being racist symbols of the alt-right

Internet memer 2: cool I'm in what's your plan

Internet memer 1: we do and say actual racist and bigoted things and vocally support everything the alt right stands for while posting images of Pepe and clowns

Internet memer 2: ohhh man the libs are gonna be owned so hard, this is definitely what trolling is

The Nib covers this well enough for me.

For reference, here's a link to the original video, "Honk Honk".. The beat is...actually pretty good. But let's take a look at the comment section...

Niggle me this batman

What’s 13% but also 50%?

Obvious anti-black racism there...

We must secure the existence of our honks and a future for clown children.

Obvious "14 words" reference...

(By the way, can you think of any relevent phrase that has the same initials as "H.onk H.onk"?)

Heil Honkler! Praise Kek! Glory to Kekistan!

Oh! Guess I didn't need to ask, it's. pretty much right there in another comment. Also, good work slipping in Kekistan.

Remember the 14 honks.

GUys! Could y'all be even a little subtle?

Hey you take that back. Honk Honk is a good boy who dindu nuffin.

Racial slur...

Yeah, the meme is the latest asinine thing that the Nazi wannabes have decided to graft themselves to. And it's not actually "clown", so much as it is this particular meme, so that they can then prance around and claim that they've somehow "tricked" "libruls" into thinking that they're white supremacists by...constantly saying and doing white supremacist shit. The truth is, they aren't being called white supremacists because they like clowns, the "Honk Honk" meme is seen as a white supremacist dog whistle because it's used as such by white supremacists.

"But you don't know what's in their heart!" Fat deposits and blood.

Nah, I only heard of it because I saw someone on twitter mocking Paul Soyboy Watson's video where he screeches about how people are "panicking" over it. Since idiots like him aren't at all subtle, it only takes a few minutes to figure out what he's actually yelling into the camera about, and only a minute or two after that to figure out that, yep, it's another Nazi wannabe meme.

[P]"Yeah man, Hitler totally trolled those Jews. He hoaxed them into thinking the swastika was a symbol for white supremacy. Hilarious! Uh oh Jew, here comes the 'evil' SS with swastika armbands, you better run! What a bunch of paranoid Hitler-deranged snowflakes who don't even know that the swastika is nothing more than an ancient religious symbol." ---Everyone who pretends these alt-right trollers are not white supremacists[/P]

No, we're talking about the Trump Admin when we talk about Insane Clown Posse.

you all know that punching clowns was a thing for a while, right?
If blackface is bad, then whiteface is bad. period.

It's probably mostly 11 year olds.

I think one way to stay in the loop is to frequent 'other types of website'. ;)
