Brexit still not decided

What a sorry state of affairs this is. I don’t know how they are going to resolve this. It does look like it will never end. A general election probably won’t fix it either but it’s probably the next step. Assuming there’s an extension.

They want unaccountable, cushy jobs in Brussels after Brexit is overturned

Tribalists will try to keep from having another vote on leaving. They will fail. And cooler minds will come forth and say if "emigration is just tweeked" .... and all the chicken wings will cease flapping with that air let out of their ire's.

Yep, this looks professional

The British Government has formally asked the European Union for a delay to Brexit — but also sent a letter from Prime Minister Boris Johnson arguing against it.
The letter asking for the extension was not signed.

It was accompanied by a second letter, signed by Mr Johnson, arguing that delay would "damage the interests of the UK and our EU partners".

What is this supposed to prove? Other than Boris Johnson is a petulant child who doesn't mind if the UK looks like an incoherent mess under his leadership I mean.

Their government is captive to the globalists just like Trump is here in the US. In both cases....in both countries the people have voted for one thing but the interests actually in power want something else. I am pretty sure it will take more than a President or Prime minister to get the job done though.

In the meantime....yes both Trump and Johnson are made to look like children. The entrenched swamp knows exactly what they are doing and control the media narrative.

Right, they make them look like children by accurately reporting their own words.

Usually completely out of context in the middle of their own narrative.

To be fair to Boris, he’s in an un-winnable situation and he only just recently got the leadership over the incoherent mess.

If you want to change the status quo, it helps if you have a coherent plan. None of the Brexiters have a fucking coherent plan, they just want to smash the Jenga pile and can't even agree on how that should be done. There's a word for that; irresponsible.

Trump and Johnson aren't being "made" to do anything. They're both screaming at the top of their lungs, "We need more rope! Now!".

In their eyes, why should they need a big complicated plan? England was fine by itself before the so called EU was formed, and not that long ago either. They traded before as a separate country and they surely can manage to do it again. England already has their own pound currency in place. Simply undue all the rest that was done.

Its only a complicated mess because the elites wants it to appear that way! They can surely make it complicated too, since they have their wrench in almost everything that could make it easy.

When Brexit was first voted in favor, I remember reading lot at the time that the elites would never let it see the light of day. And sadly their prediction is proving to be correct. The British have not spoke correctly about Brexit, so the plutocrats would like them to try again and vote the right way this time...

The people mashing down the elite towers and electing the likes of Johnson (and or Trump) does not seem so crazy when freedom from tyranny is at stake.

I'm sorry to tell you the truth, but you can't stop internationalism. You can't. You can lie to people like Trump and tell them that it's possible to reverse the trend. It's possible to move inward. Bring back all those blue collar $150,000 factory jobs that never change and don't require additional skills. Bring back the 50s! Or you can live in the real world. You can tell people the truth: that the world is flat today. It's all about technology and the information age. You can build Trump's wall but it won't stop this. But if you can embrace change, always look to get better, learn new skills, take advantage of the information, you can do well. The younger people in England see this. Brexit is going to split the UK apart into people who accept reality and want to be a part of it's success and those who stick their heads in the sands and live in fantasy land.

So the House voted against some procedural thing that would let the proposal from the EU make progress, and it looks to me like the government is inclined to let things sit that way until the 31st, when presumably they'll fall out of the EU without a deal.

If this happens I suggest RVonse keep a close eye on the Nissan plant in Sunderland and see how its workers fare when Nissan UK's tariff-free access to its largest market evaporates.

The UK imports from the EU far more than it exports. Let’s see if EU exporters cut their own throats.

Usually completely out of context in the middle of their own narrative.

Or in context while providing their entire narrative.

But not if the EU grants another extension, which they seem willing to do.

Johnson keeps calling for an election. I looked at polling and his party is ahead, but i don't know how the numbers translate electorally.

His deal also has plurality support, which May's didn't have, but with a lot of undecideds.

Will it take a war between Germany and the UK to determine whether Germany rules Europe or whether the UK is independent and free?

The last time that happened, it didn't turn out that well for Germany. And the time before that. And before that UK had to fight France. It didn't turn out that well for France.

You are wrong.

It was not some law of thermodynamics that caused jobs and prosperity to flee from rural England and rust belt US.. This was accomplished through human agency. It was willful plutocrat decisions made by men and women causing these issues. And not some mysterious artifact that has to accompany international trade. Regardless of what you may hear from the controlled media narrative.

And as far as young people are concerned, they're not doing so great either. At least not in the US where many of them have racked up piles of student debt and cant find a job that they have spend years of education to prepare for. Its not a matter of being able to adapt and accept change. Its a matter of not tolerating any more crap from the elite plutocrats.
