Forgery suspect killed by cop restricting his airway

This is why we need separate homelands

Or why people should stop voting Democrat.

Yeah, it's because people voted for Democrats that police officers become abusive, corrupt, callus, and unaccountable. And if only people stopped voting for Democrats, then all those "thugs" of society would stop caring that they are repeatedly abused by authorities and entrenched power. Is that not what you are talking about? Then WTF are you talking about?

Yeah, because when someone gets shot, the guy holding the gun is never to blame.
If you walk up to a national guardsman (or even a police officer) and grab his gun, you are responsible for getting shot not the officer.

DUH, You think I disagree with that? I'm addressing the presumption made by repoman that the only source of danger involved with bringing a loaded weapon to a protest is from the protesters. Here's a hint. It's not.

National guard soldiers have as much potential to act like a dumbass as anyone.

Even if the autopsy shows this man died from something like intoxication, the man was clearly in a lot of distress screaming about how he was having difficulty breathing.

He would not be able to talk, much less scream if his airway was obstructed.

Also, suspects about to be arrested are frequently malingering in an attempt to avoid jail. It is therefore not surprising that police show skepticism toward such pronouncements. It may look callous from outside, but it's really a "boy who cried 'I can't breathe'" situation.
Wow, some things never change. I think I remember you from before, Derec

Wife of officer charged with murder of George Floyd announces she's divorcing him

Kellie Chauvin, the wife of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, said she is filing for divorce after 10 years of marriage.

In a statement issued by her attorney, Kellie Chauvin said she is devastated by the killing of 46-year-old George Floyd, who died earlier this week while in police custody.

Kellie Chauvin's attorney said she filed for divorce as a result of this week's incident.

It’s no coincidence that all these riots are happening in deep Blue cities. The appeasement of Woke ideology to bad behavior can only lead to destruction.

Trausti, what do you think Republicans do better about police brutality? Or is it only brutality if it's black cops bring nasty to white people?

Police brutality is no excuse for destroying your neighbor’s business. It is no excuse for politicians to pull back from public safety leaving law-abiding citizens to a rabid mob.

Donald J. Trump on Twitter: "The professionally managed so-called “protesters” at the White House had little to do with the memory of George Floyd. They were just there to cause trouble. The @SecretService handled them easily. Tonight, I understand, is MAGA NIGHT AT THE WHITE HOUSE???" / Twitter
then
Kamala Harris on Twitter: "The occupant of the White House is once again inciting violence. Don’t listen to him." / Twitter

"Cars have now ran into the crowd in Denver, Bakersfield, LA, San Jose, Oakland, & probably more. All of these cases are attempted murder. All of these cases have been white people and/or cops doubling down, circling back into the crowd to ensure a hit. GET PHOTOS OF THEIR PLATES.

Add Portland and NY to this list.

TWICE in San Jose today and TWICE in Oakland. And Seattle. Don’t let these killers get away. People are in critical condition.

Correction: Looks like the person in Bakersfield was a NBPOC. Let me correct to say most* were white and/or cops.

A man in St. Louis was also killed tonight when a Fed Ex truck lunged forward. Rest in power.

CRITICAL:

Various states have proposed legislation that makes it legal to run over protesters. Drivers that run over people engaged in political activity would be exonerated. This fascist, capitalist system is rotten to the core. It is RIGHT to rebel!

On this topic, it’s important to mention that today (5/29) was Heather Heyer’s birthday. She would’ve been on the streets with us too. She rests in power.

Matthew Gertz on Twitter: "All three Fox News primetime hosts have attacked President Obama tonight for worsening U.S. race relations during his tenure." / Twitter

Patrick Condon on Twitter: "Walz says estimates of instigators are 80 percent non Minnesotans. He says they will start releasing names of those arrested." / Twitter
then
Ilhan Omar on Twitter: "Minneapolis, people are exploiting our grief and destroying our city.
The fires in area in Minneapolis where no protest took place gives us a clearer picture of that.
We can’t let them. We must all come together to clean up our city and protect one another." / Twitter

If you incentivize bad behavoir, you get more bad behavior.
Yes, police brutality predictably tells the populace that the police do not exist to serve and protect.

Most cops are good cops and they're not racists. And if they are they are professional enough and so can manage their instinctive prejudices. The problem is that police have not been held accountable when these incidents have occurred. Therefore these incidents continue to occur.

So I agree with you, that when you incentivize the type of behavior that got this guy killed you continue to get more of the same. Officers and their departments in the past have always protected each other, no matter what. Let's hope that continues to change.
