Rittenhouse/Kenosha Shooting Split

Yes, when you and someone else chase a dude armed with a rifle, discharge a gun around that person as that person is feeling, corner them in a parking lot, then you lunge at them trying to grab their gun, you totally deserve to get shot unless there are some seriously extenuating circumstances going on. Maybe that's the case, but as it looks right now Rosenbaum acted like a hothead and got himself killed for idiotically trying to chase down and take a gun from some other guy

Yes, well, he seems to be the only militia guy that was chased by other people that were armed.
I see the chasing (then falling and shooting) in the second part, I don't see much of anything in the first part (Rosenbaum shooting)

My take on it is that Rosenbaum chased Rittenhouse, caught up with him, jumped on him (as if to try to grab the gun or something) and in the ensuing struggle, Rittenhouse shot him.

Photoshop. There is a real record but it isn't from Wisconsin. I don't know what else is altered.

Well, apparently it is possible to apprehend someone, who is even armed, after the fact. The asshole who shot people last night is being raised up on first degree murder charges.

A 17-year-old Illinois resident connected to an overnight shooting during a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was taken into custody Wednesday morning, according to police in Antioch, Illinois.

Antioch Police said Wisconsin authorities issued an arrest warrant charging Kyle Rittenhouse with first-degree intentional homicide. He is in the custody of the Lake County Judicial System pending an extradition hearing to transfer custody of him from Illinois to Wisconsin.
17 years old? Well, I suppose that thug will be living in jail for a while.

He was just a year away from a badge and qualified immunity

Joseph Rosenbaum had open criminal case in Wisconsin for battery/domestic abuse and he also jumped bail. His sexual crime case may be out of state though.

Anthony Huber had a domestic abuse case that he got probation for in 2018, and a previous domestic case involving dangerous weapons and strangulation in 2012, where he got a 2 year custodial sentence with 2 year probation.

Grosskreutz had a case of being armed with a firearm while drunk. He got 4 months with a year probation and some community service. Other than that, he was driving with suspended license, and had local ordinance violations and a dispossessory suit.

Grosskreutz, the lone surviving member of the Woke Troika, was armed on that day and he also allegedly said that he regretted not emptying his clip into the child.

Jacob Marshall, was or still is Grosskreutz's roommate since he was also listed as a defendant on the dispossessory suit.
Nice to see you are an equal opportunity smearer of victims.

What irony?

The #BLM movement is all about valuing human life, specifically the lives of black people. It's all about having the Constitutional rights of blacks and whites equally respected. It's about having the police Protect and Serve people of color the same way they do for whites. It's about not being indifferent when people are beaten and killed.

LOL ! Quit clowning around, you couldn’t possibly have missed the “defund the police, all cops are bad” mantra from the BLM rabble. And when the chips are down they start yelling for the police to arrest people. Hilarious.

Seriously, are you really this clueless about what the protesters are protesting? Or are you just bullshitting?

Protesting ? Behave yourself.

All cops are bad though. If you don't understand why, I would be happy to explain. But you should be able to figure it out just by searching for examples of a good cop stopping a bad cop in the moment and the department and da prosecuting the bad cop.

When that happens, we can talk about good cops.

Don’t let someone like him reproduce. Lock him up forever.

I thought you guys were in favor of a sentencing reform. Which is it?

Also, he is 17. During Trayvon Martin discussions, I was told that a 17 year old is just a child. You want to lock up a child forever?

looking past the cheap effort to score points, this seems pretty valid to me. The kid made a bad mistake and some sort of restitution and leniency does seem in order. But trayvon? Really? You suggest that the Rambo dude was justified?
I don't really want to discuss it but I forget how bad the brain worm is sometimes

Bullshit. He was 17 years old, and he was carrying an AR-15 assault rifle. What kind of fucked up country is it in the first place that we have 17 year olds allowed to own or carry such weapons without at least adult supervision? He never should have been there! He wasn’t a business owner defending his property, let the fucking professionals handle the situation. If it’s that bad, get the National Guard out there, but vigilante groups like this have no business existing in America. None!
Vigilante groups happen when the elected officials refuse to do their job and protect the citizens, or worse, order the police to not do their job.

If you check, you will find that gun sales has sky rocketed across the U.S. since mayors and governors in several states have not attempted to stop looting, arson, and assaults in several cities plus the growing demand to 'defund' police. People want security and, if the local governments refuse to provide it, people start looking out for themselves and others in their community (commonly called vigilantism).

As an aside, the democrats may feel the fallout from ignoring the riots in the next election... Trump has put on his "law and order" cape.

Nazi paraphernalia isn't that impressive

Yes, RItenhouse was clearly justified, because he has a clear-cut case for self-defense, unless some extenuating circumstance comes up from before he was fleeing from the two older men, one of whom discharged a handgun, at which point Rosenbaum (the first person killed) lunged at Rittenhouse and tried to take his gun. It is then that Rittenhouse, cornered in a parking, shoots him. He wasn't a "Rambo" at all, not any more than all the other people who had guns, including two people who were attacking him. He just happened to come out on top.

The kid is a jackass. He's being accused of beating a woman. Don't know if true or not. But I've seen several pictures of him close to other people wearing masks, while he dosn't. Sorry but if you have such little regard for other people around you that you refuse to wear a mask: you're a giant Jackass.

That may be true. But I'm talking about whether the homicide was justified or not, and him being a jackass doesn't doesn't really affect that. And given the nature of this incident, the truth is important. The truth is always important.

Also, I look forward to denouncing all the jackasses demonstrating in large groups in US cities right now without face masks.

Nancy Pelosi agrees with this message. Unless it’s to get a hairdo.

No, not for the unwashed masses to get their hair done. Only for Pelosi to get her hair done.

You guys know Nancy Pelosi’s stylist backs her claim she was ‘set up’ by the salon owner, right?

SFist said:
Jonathan DeNardo, the hairstylist who agreed to do Pelosi's hair on Monday and informed her that the salon was permitted to take one client at a time indoors, says that Kious was informed of the appointment the night before in a telephone call, and she personally approved it. DeNardo says she followed this with invective about Pelosi's "purported responsibility for temporarily suspending operations of Ms. Kious' business."

Yea, this isn't very difficult for me! But please let me rephrase in order to be more clear: IMO If you are around other people who care about you by wearing a mask, but refuse to wear a mask thereby spreading your germs to your friends: YOU ARE A JACKASS. I don't know much about the Rittenhouse case. I'm studying up on it now. More facts are coming. But judging from the pictures that I see, he clearly doesn't care about spreading his germs around. He doesn't care about the safety of others around him. He carries an illegal AK-47 to a demonstration, telling me that he's trying to bully someone. Yea, it appears to me that he's an asshole who could have committed murder. But we'll see.

Yea, it appears to me that he's an asshole who could have committed murder. But we'll see.

I myself might call him an asshole (with allowances for his young age) and possibly his mother if it's true she gave him a lift (I think you guys say ride, which is arguably the better term) to the protests with an illegal AK-47, and further than that, I might say there were other assholes too, quite possibly Rosenbaum (the first guy Rittenhouse shot after Rosenbaum jumped on him from behind and who had previously I think taunted Rittenhouse with 'shoot me nigger') and the other guy who fired shots in the air while apparently also chasing Rittenhouse.

Whether Rittenhouse committed murder or not is up for legal grabs, but it does seem he might have a decent case for self-defence. That said, carrying and shooting someone dead with an illegal weapon should surely lead to some sort of sanction, I would think.
