Trump Tests Positive For Covid-19

Trump's campaign rallies which have largely flaunted best public health practices,
FLAUTED! Not flaunted! ...

Flauting is showing disdain for. Like, the article flauted the basics of grammar for the goddamned English fucking language, or Trump's campaign flauted CDC directives.

While I agree with your stance on "Flaunt," the word for 'to show disdain' is "Flout."

"Flaut," if it means anything, is presumably 'to play a flute'; cf. flautist. :-)

Whoops. Sorry.

That is what I was thinking when I saw the asshole riding around in the SUV, putting the SS at risk. I read this morning that many in the SS are outraged by his behavior.
Oh my 'thulhu, can you imagine rotating from, say, the Carter detail, watching a trained Engineer build habitats for humanity, to the White House detail, wondering how and when that traitor will get you killed?

The Secret Service don't have bases in Greenland, so the current situation at the Whitehouse likely provides a valuable opportunity to post those who annoy their commanding officers to a punishment station.

Just saw this.

When i had a Top Secret SIOP-ESI security clearance, i could get dropped from the program for taking illicit drugs. Licit drugs got me temporary bounces, like pain-killers associated with surgery. If i was on the Good Shit, i could not touch nuclesr weapons or their programming.
In off crew, i could not even attend the simulator and pretend to touch nuclear weapons, or practice targeting the simulated missiles. I couldn't be in the room where others played nuclear reindeer games.

I recall when Reagan was shot, and Haig immediately assured the nation he was in control. And then the real authorities assured us (and our allies)(AND our enemies) there was a peaceful and complete transfer of power, NOT to Haig, so the government continued. 'We got this.'

I have to believe if he's under the influence of something that disorienting, they turned off his football, and Pence has the nuclear launch authority.
But if they told the nation this, while some might be reassured, the Trumpers would go nuts, and scream about the unconstitutional power grab by the deep state actors.

Plus, if Biden were temporarily unfit for security, Trump's campaign would shout from the rooftops, so they won't risk anyone thinking Trump's temporary incapacity is permanent. I mean, it fucking IS but for different reasons.

But they have painted themselves into a corner, here. Trump has no plan. So no one can take the reins and claim to be babysitting IAW The Plan.
Everything the govt. does is in reaction to Bonespurs' whims. So if his whims are hamstrung, the govt just sits in a holding pattern...waiting.

Telling everyone he could be released today was a boneheaded move. If they don't release him, that will just make it look he's gotten worse. If they do release him, there's a decent chance he will have to come back and perhaps on a stretcher this time.

“Don Jr. Thinks Trump Is Acting Crazy”: The President’s COVID Joyride Has the Family Divided | Vanity Fair

There's an interesting tidbit at the end.

There is a long history in the Trump family of denying serious illness. According to a Trump family friend, Trump’s father, Fred Trump Sr., insisted on working even after his Alzheimer’s disease advanced in the 1990s. “To retire is to expire!” Fred Sr. would say. The friend said that as Fred Sr.’s disease worsened––he once came down the stairs wearing three neckties––the family created a system so that Fred could think he was still running the Trump Organization. Every day Fred Sr. would go to the office in Brooklyn and they would give him blank papers to sort through and sign. The phone on Fred’s desk was set up so that it could only dial out to his secretary. “Fred pretended to work,” the family friend said.

I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!
So a drug to treat a fever and steroids for inflammation and that makes him feel the best he has been in 20 years?!

The Trump Admin has some "really great drugs & knowledge"? What they fuck are they giving him, ecstasy?!

He says he is heading home while still contagious, and potentially on a steroid.

As a side note, did Secret Service leaders get a migraine when Trump announced the time of departure? The asshole wants people to great him as he leaves on the street so his sad penis can get erect again. And the Secret Service is thinking, great, now the detail will cost three times as much!

Don't be afraid of COVID-19. If you get it just call two of your personal helicopters, get taken to the hospital with your private wing and permanent team of physicians, receive all the latest and greatest very expensive drugs, violate quarantine, and let the tax payers pay for it!!

Fukking a$$hole.

:hysterical:

We aren't that lucky, I am afraid.

But to be perfectly honest, if I was one of those people who believe in reading the Bible literally - I would be giving the side eye to President Trump at this point. He is beginning to resemble their conception of the antichrist.

Opinion | A President in the Hospital and a Nation in the Dark - The New York Times
This whole administration is a superspreader event.

The coronavirus’s rampage through America threw a spotlight on its failings — on the galling inequality, the fatal partisanship, the susceptibility to fiction and the way in which rugged individualism had curdled into plain old selfishness.

The coronavirus’s rampage through the White House has had the same effect. What we have seen over recent days is Donald Trump’s presidency in miniature, his worst traits distilled. Two in particular — mendacity and recklessness — are on especially unsettling display.

President Pelosi? Pence prepares to risk it all for Trump - POLITICO - "The vice president is under pressure from some Republicans to secure himself in Washington. Trump’s campaign has other plans."
Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Utah on Monday as he plays the Trump campaign’s lead act for the foreseeable future — the highest-profile surrogate for the president’s reelection at a time when both men can least afford another setback following Donald Trump’s Covid-19 diagnosis.

...
A month before Election Day, Pence is putting it all on the line in a last-ditch attempt to rescue his ticket.
The title refers to the line of succession of the Presidency: President Trump - Vice President Pence - House Speaker Pelosi

She would likely not be President for long - she'd be Queen for a Day.

Dexamethasone in Hospitalized Patients with Covid-19 — Preliminary Report

RESULTS
A total of 2104 patients were assigned to receive dexamethasone and 4321 to receive usual care. Overall, 482 patients (22.9%) in the dexamethasone group and 1110 patients (25.7%) in the usual care group died within 28 days after randomization (age-adjusted rate ratio, 0.83; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.75 to 0.93; P<0.001). The proportional and absolute between-group differences in mortality varied considerably according to the level of respiratory support that the patients were receiving at the time of randomization. In the dexamethasone group, the incidence of death was lower than that in the usual care group among patients receiving invasive mechanical ventilation (29.3% vs. 41.4%; rate ratio, 0.64; 95% CI, 0.51 to 0.81) and among those receiving oxygen without invasive mechanical ventilation (23.3% vs. 26.2%; rate ratio, 0.82; 95% CI, 0.72 to 0.94) but not among those who were receiving no respiratory support at randomization (17.8% vs. 14.0%; rate ratio, 1.19; 95% CI, 0.91 to 1.55).

So based on this info; which is better? 482 out of 2104 (with dexamethasone ) dead or 1110 out of 4321 (without dexamethasone) dead? Unless I'm reading this wrong it's all the same to me.

So if this moron of a president returns to the WH, will he think that just because they let him leave the hospital that he can't spread the virus any more? Anyone want to take best on whether Trump will actually quarantine himself or will he demand meetings with himself and others in vicinity still maskless? I'd bet the later.

As long as he continues refusing to sit and negotiate with democrats it's all good bruh.

If anything, Trump will be less careful because he'll think he's immune.

Those patients were much further along in their symptoms than was Clownstick. The amount of care being administered to Trumpo would no doubt successfully treat hundreds of people with the virus.

Also, a person doesn't just stop the steroids. If they've developed a dependency they have to be withdrawn gradually, at least that's been my experience. But all bets and protocols are off with Trumpo.

With: 23%, without: 26%

Here is a rough guide to sampling error, the result of using an incomplete sample. For sample size N, its relative value is roughly 1/sqrt(N).

Here, this means a relative error of 1.5% - 2.1%. So that result is not very strong.

To get a better number, one will have to be more careful and use the appropriate statistical distribution.

Probably. Based on his still known condition, he is already re-spreading the untruth that C19 is not dangerous.

President Trump just tweeted that he will be leaving Walter Reed medical center at 6:30 p.m. ET today.

"Felling really good!" he tweeted moments ago. "Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life."

Here's his full message:
