Some Fine Sports Fans React To Vanderbilt Kicker Pick

Can she kick it into the end zone from her own 35 yard line? Can she get height on her kicks quickly so that the defensive linemen don't block her kicks. Can she do those things consistently. If not she shouldn't be there. How far is she good from on field goals? Can she match most SEC kickers, if not she shouldn't be there. If she can match most kickers in a weaker conference, but not the SEC, then that other conference is a more reasonable place for her to be.
She is a part-time player on the Vanderbilt football team... a school that has had a winning record in four seasons since 1976. Vanderbilt has had 2 or fewer wins in 18 of those same seasons.

She is the goalkeeper for Vanderbilt's SEC champion team, hence kicking it a distance is a thing she is used to doing. The football team was down on players due to Covid. It was a temporary stop gap... slash a bit of publicity... and a bunch of Internet Trolls felt it necessary to be trolls. Seriously, people were making with misogynist comments about a woman playing the holy roll of a kicker in a college football game.

The comments were based solely on her having a vagina. It had nothing to do with anything she said or did.

Being a good soccer player doesn't necessarily mean that she's a good placekicker. It helps, but no guarantees. My question is how does her skill compare to other SEC kickers? IF she is good enough to make it there, then by all means play. If she's not she shouldn't be there, if she could make it in another conference (since the SEC is usually better than the other ones), then that other conference is where she should play.

Basically, I am the opposite of Jimmy Higgins who seems to love these guys getting demolished but likes the pandering.

Even if that's true, some things are much, much worse than pandering, such as the foul and mindless hatred that is so popular among the most stunted brocucks among us.

Vanderbilt has probably the highest academic standards in college football. Maybe she really was all they could get on such short notice.

Have you ever heard of Northwestern University?

Pfft. If yawl in an uproar over how football players are treating other football players you're late to the game.

Edit: This applies to the fans also.

Edit 2: Where was yawl when death threats, flying objects, swear words and all that shit was tossed their way all these years?

I thought I was talking about the same thing. That garbage "locker-room talk". That foul mouthed rubbish the lowlifes on earth dig up for simple humor.

Edit: And the actual violence that sometimes manifests on the field.

But it’s violence amongst men. It’s not a place for women.

It's unacceptable for both men and women. But for there to be any special shock that certain language and violence towards a woman happens in the industry is plane dumb. That's all I'm trying to say here.

Man on man violence is violence committed by men. Man on woman violence is also violence committed by men.

To be unaware of the difference is beyond dumb, "plane" or otherwise.
