Some Fine Sports Fans React To Vanderbilt Kicker Pick

And the reason no male soccer players were available to kit beyond the 35 yard line would be what?
Yet another irrelevant comment driven by male fragility.

Keep dodging.
It is fascinating you think the availability (or lack thereof) of male soccer players is relevant to the issue of fragile male snowflakes making shitty comments about a woman kicking a football for a college football team or that title IX has anything to do with this woman playing football. It is almost as if you have no idea what the topic of the OP is.

It's clear from the video that it was kicked the way it was deliberately. She is also 1.88m tall soccer goalkeeper, it's obvious she can kick very far.
And yes, it's PR stunt, but she is obviously qualified. People forget that sport is entertainment.

They absolutely on topic... very fine people reacting to the kicker pick!

I thought I was talking about the same thing. That garbage "locker-room talk". That foul mouthed rubbish the lowlifes on earth dig up for simple humor.

Edit: And the actual violence that sometimes manifests on the field.

But it’s violence amongst men. It’s not a place for women.

It's unacceptable for both men and women. But for there to be any special shock that certain language and violence towards a woman happens in the industry is plane dumb. That's all I'm trying to say here.

Why is it unacceptable for men? Sports are mostly contests of masculinity; especially contact sports. Nature just didn't evolve the sexes to be equal in this context.

FEMALE FOOTBALL PLAYER FILES SUIT ON INJURY

Three years ago, Francis Scott Key High School in Union Bridge, Md., was going to make school history by having its first female football player. Now, in a nightmarish saga, it may make history again.

In 1989, Tawana Hammond, a 17-year-old running back who had never played organized football, was tackled in her first scrimmage and allegedly suffered internal injuries that required removal of her spleen and half of her pancreas. This August, 11 days before the statute of limitations for a civil suit expired, Hammond sued the Carroll County school system for $1.5 million.

The board, through O'Mealy, has denied any liability. O'Mealy said Coons did not try to dissuade Hammond from playing because that is illegal under Title IX, a federal statute that prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions that receive federal funding.

Surprise!

"The feeling from a lot of the people was she shouldn't have been there {on the football team} anyway," said Perry Jones, the mayor of Union Bridge, a town of about 950 that is 20 miles northeast of Frederick. "A female playing a man's game. It {the lawsuit} has created a lot of hard feelings in this community."

Oh, he's so cancelled in 2020.

You do realize we are in the 21st century not the 19th or 20th century.

Sports are mostly contests of human ability. Including contact sports. And she's deciding to play one. Good on her.

If men want to engage in violent activities with one another, i.e., play contact sports, why not? Don't worry, the soy boys can sit it out.

It's not surprising that you would conflate aggressive violence with structured competition.

Did I just see proof of the use of "soy boy" in an unironic, completely intentionally insulting way?

I didn't think such idiocy was real. I always consigned it to the sort of "these people have got to be 'ironic' or something, but lampooning someone.

But here it is as I live.

I wonder, does the example in question actually believe that soy makes someone less assertive, and less in control of their own life? Or less capable of doing the things that win games? Or less capable of taking hits?

I love soy products. What would they say this implies about me? That I can't take a hit?

Soy contains phytoestrogens. It's difficult to believe you don't know this.

That has nothing to do with the point that in this century sports are not mostly contests of masculinity. If anything, in many of the "masculine" sports, what you appear to call "masculinity" is being taken out or reduced. Really, is it possible for you to generate a response in this thread that is actually on point?

You're not a rEaL mAn!!!111!!!!(tm) according to the most immature, insecure "males" among us.

How insecure do they have to be to feel threatened by females in sports or males who are more mature that a feral dog?

Man on man violence is violence committed by men. Man on woman violence is also violence committed by men.

To be unaware of the difference is beyond dumb, "plane" or otherwise.

I agree, problem is I didn't claim otherwise. What I was saying is why no one seemed to see this sort of thing coming? The violent language in the OP? That was the point I was trying to make. Not what you turned it into.

Then "it's unacceptable for both men and women" is not at all helpful. The "both sides are the same" argument is really popular these days, but it actually serves to diminish accountability for the abusive "side." At best, your words are clumsy and ambivalent if that lazy "both sides are the same" bullshit is not what you meant.

Everything was a contest of masculinity, from sports to science to music. Citing inertia to defend some opinion seems without any actual care of thinking.

Look like Sarah will be in the squad for Vanderbilt's next game. I hope she gets an opportunity to show what she can do.

And????

Holy smokes, we got another soyboyist.

Ikr? I would, I expect, handily beat almost any "soyboyist" in any contest of masculinity short of power-lifting or pushups, and that I could take twice as much of a hit in any contact sports they want to engage in. Oh, I bet I get laid more often too (both the pussy and the dick).

Mostly, I think it comes down to jealousy that people like me are successful when they are so... not... That they have to manufacture reasons I must be "unmanly".

What else I find funny is even if I started injecting actual estrogen tomorrow, nothing would change about me. Maybe I would get a tad bit moodier? But the fact is, testosterone being in the body at all generally suppresses estrogen. People taking estrogen for transition need to also take T suppressors, whereas people transitioning the other way don't have to do anything to suppress estrogen!

LOL. Stereotype accuracy for the win!

An unusual case of gynecomastia associated with soy product consumption

A 60-year-old man was referred to the endocrinology clinic for evaluation of bilateral gynecomastia of 6 months' duration. He reported erectile dysfunction and decreased libido. On further review of systems, he reported no changes in testicular size, no history of testicular trauma, no sexually transmitted diseases, no headaches, no visual changes, and no change in muscular mass or strength. Initial laboratory assessment showed estrone and estradiol concentrations to be 4-fold increased above the upper limit of the reference range. Subsequent findings from testicular ultrasonography; computed tomography of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis; and positron emission tomography were normal. Because of the normal findings from the imaging evaluation, the patient was interviewed again, and he described a daily intake of 3 quarts of soy milk. After he discontinued drinking soy milk, his breast tenderness resolved and his estradiol concentration slowly returned to normal.

Is This the Most Dangerous Food For Men?

For Price, a retired U.S. Army intelligence officer who once flew attack helicopters in Vietnam, these changes were more than just physically uncomfortable.

“Men aren’t supposed to have breasts,” he says today in a quiet Texas drawl. “It was like my body was feminizing.”

A lean and wiry man, the breast development stood in stark contrast to the rest of his body. But it was not Price's only symptom.

His beard growth had slowed, he’d lost hair from his arms, chest, and legs, and he’d stopped waking up with morning erections.

“My sexual desire disappeared,” he says. “My penis—I won’t say it atrophied, but it was so flaccid that it looked very small in comparison with the way it used to be. Even my emotions changed.”

“I said, ‘Let’s go over your diet, meal by meal, and you tell me every single thing you eat and drink.’ He said, ‘Sure, Dr. Lewi. I get up and usually have some cereal.’ I said, ‘Do you put anything on it?’ He said ‘Soy milk.’”

Price explained that he’d developed lactose intolerance in recent years and had switched to soy milk exclusively. It had, in fact, become one of his favorite drinks, a great thirst quencher in the Texas heat.

Dr. Lewi suddenly felt his excitement building. He asked Price how much soy milk, on average, he drank each day.

“He told me, ‘Probably about 3 quarts,’” recalls Dr. Lewi about the moment that changed everything.

Soy food and isoflavone intake in relation to semen quality parameters among men from an infertility clinic

These data suggest that higher intake of soy foods and soy isoflavones is associated with lower sperm concentration.

So, I explain the origins of "soyboy" to somebody who doesn't appear to know, and I'm a "soyboyist"? What the fuck even is a "soyboyist"?
