No they did not go into the mayor's office and he did not go off into hiding but the symbolism was the same. The actual breaking into the white house was unexpected no argument there. But there was still no evidence of an actual assassination attempt unless I am mis-informed. And if there was no actual plot to assassinate the vp, to say so is just a conspiracy theory.

Pretty sure building an execution platform qualifies as "evidence".

That doesnt mean anything either except that perhaps someone can build good movie props.

If we hear of someone who was actually indicted for planning an actual crime against Pence I would however be inclined to feel differently. Otherwise this appears to be nothing but a conspiracy theory.

Cool. So, you want evidence for issues that you don't agree with. But you don't seek evidence when it conflicts with your worldview (2020 election fraud, Trump won the election)? Would you not say that you are very inconsistent regarding conspiracy theories?

I agree, at this time no one is being charged with attempting to assassinate Mike Pence. It's going to be something brought up against Trump in the impeachment trial for obvious reasons. Ya know the whole rally thing where he insinuated that Mike Pence can overturn the election results at the delegate vote confirmation and that if Mike doesn't he'll be very disappointed in him. The same rally where he said to his voters they won't have a country anymore if they don't fight like hell. Ultimately closing with the statement that him and those at the rally will march down Pennsylvania Ave to the capital to give republicans (the weak ones) the courage to take back their country.

If I went to a party & rallied a group of people to go to the local police department to protest brutality. I then go home and at the precinct they bust windows, threaten the sheriff, then during the break in 4 protesters & a police officer dies? The entire police department would rightfully be at my doorstep when arrested protesters start throwing my name around as their reason for being there. Do you think the prosecution would have a case against me even though I rallied them for a peaceful protest and did not literally call for violence?

That's the crux of the impeachment trial right there.

Good point. As has been brought up here it is EXACTLY the same situation with the election fraud. The election fraud was out there for all 75 million of us to see! There was all kind of so called evidence until somehow no court would look at any of it. So 75 million people were told to shut up.

There could very easily have been a criminal plot against Pence, I don't know. But I do know this. NO charges have been filed against anyone. And you can bet there would be political motivation to do so if the evidence was so easily at hand. So until the evidence is good enough for charges and a court trial, all you have is a tin foiling hat conspiracy theory. Same as all the others.

I wouldn't say it's exactly the same as the election fraud claim. There was no fraud but there was an insurrection. You just disagree with there being an coordinated effort to assassinat Mike Pence. Minor detail you missed in that contrast.

I don't know but that kind of thing has been happening a lot with the BLM and antifa protests too. Do you want to impeach the pro BLM and antifa congressmen (women) for stirring all that violence too? If taken out of context much of what they have had to say is much worse than Trump. None of what any of them has been doing has been good IMO but OTOH we really do have a first amendment to allow even politicians to say what they want.

The ruling elite and democrat establishment want to punish 75 million people who voted for Trump. The ruling elite and Democrat dignitaries consider themselves vastly superior to the rest of us and as such they must punish and re-educate the 75 million so that next time they will vote the right way. And it is the first of many steps to convert a voting democracy into a totalitarian authority government like China.

That is the only reason why we are having a 2nd impeachment for a private citizen who is no longer in office.

The courts never GOT to see it because no lawyer would submit such bogus claims when under oath, before a judge. They'd be subject to disbarment and contempt of court. ALL the evidence was ONLY ever put in the media, both social and mainstream. And when the very same lawyers went to actual court, they denied that it was a fraud case.

If you were surrounded by conservative media (as I was) you see and listen on a daily basis to all sorts of people speaking about untold shenanigans everywhere throughout the swing states. It is not worth the effort anymore but there are literally hundreds of cases of what on the surface appear to be obvious voter fraud.

I wasn't talking about the impeachment. I was talking about that whole "ruling elite and democrat establishment want to punish 75 million people who voted for Trump" thing. Has any criminal charges been filed for that?

On the matter of impeachment the vote to impeach is ultimately the vote to put the President on trial. The President can be convicted by the House of Representatives at the end of the trial. Just in case you didn't know a conviction is worse than an charge. Only difference between the President being convicted and your average joe is the punishment, however a conviction means found guilty either way.

That's the issue with this current impeachment trying to nuke Trump with an insurrection conviction. He didn't actually call for violence. Sure he was pissed and lashing out like usual and most likely didn't feel any remorse for the attack. But he did not directly call for the violence. If convicted it opens the door to any malicious group to show up at a rally dressed as supporters then take off from there destroying stuff claiming X politician told me to fight for my [insert whatever here]. That was the point I was trying to make with my analogy.
