Swammerdami
Squadron Leader
Here are some of the possible appointments. I find them disappointing. Five top posts are essential for national security: Gabbard, Hegseth, Ratcliffe, Noem, Walz -- is ANY of these really an expert in secret intelligence? (Is it almost an oymoron to even worry about that, with Trump taking security into his own hands, staging meetings with Putin, etc.??)

While here, I may as well comment again on the Trump v Hitler comparison.
Each was well-supported and led movements with fascist methods and goals. Each was charismatic, at least in some peculiar way. Each had most of the symptoms of malignant narcissism.
But the differences are huge. Hitler was a high-IQ intellectual. Trump is an uncurious semi-literate. Hitler was hard-working and micro-managed German efforts. Trump is a lazy oaf happy to delegate to those with proven loyalty.
Hitler was an ideologue. Except for a vague sense that "Furriners are to blame", Trump has little interest in policy, but rather focuses on his petty grifts.

Right-wingers often pretend to worry about the "Deep State." A bigger threat is the alliance of billionaires, multi-millionaires, politicians etc. who plan to use fascist methods to manipulate the American system toward fascist goals. What to call this alliance? It isn't particularly hidden, but I'll name it the "Deep Cabal."
During the Trump-45, the Deep Cabal was awe-struck and was late to take advantage. For Trump-47 the Deep Cabal is much better prepared. They already have plans to rewind a great deal of 21st century progress.
Many of the appointments are digusting. RFK for Health? Stephen Miller for Policy Chief? I wonder if the Senate will manage to veto some of the worst selections?Marco Rubio - Secy of State
Matt Gaetz - Atty General (unindicted felon)
Elon Musk - Commiss of Government Efficiency
Tulsi Gabbard - Director of National Intelligence
Pete Hegseth - Secy Defense (Fox & Friends co-host)
John Ratcliffe - CIA Director
Kristi Noem - Secy of Homeland Security
Michael Walz - National Security Advisor
Susie Wiles - Chief of Staff
RF Kennedy, Jr - Secy Health + HS
? Doug Burgum - billionaire Secy Energy (carbon apologist)
