Trump and Hitler - a comparison

Secession = reactionary even if you think you are right.

And that ignores the minor problem of it isn't particularly feasible. What is the plan, the Non-Contiguous Blue States of America?

You are allowed to post whatever reactionary, but non-violence stuff you want here. The others are free to tell you it isn't constructive, viable, or intelligent.

You did not address my point. Was it reactionary for Czechoslovakia to peacefully divide into two countries? Was it reactionary for Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and others to secede from the Soviet Union? Was it reactionary for the colonies to declare independence from Britain? Even if you don’t favor secession, you have no basis for calling the idea “reactionary” unless you adopt a completely non-standard meaning of the word. Also, I advocate peaceful separation, not violence, as even Lincoln said was admissible if all states agreed to it.

As to others here, they are free to think as they like, without you telling them or me what to think or write.

We have to stay and fight. This is not the end of America or its Democratic dream. Our country has faced threats before. It has proven resilient. I post two maps to demonstrate this:

Do you know how many different borders there have been in Europe before World War One? I wouldn't use European borders as an argument for dissolving the United States which has been a tad bit more consistent in borders (other than expansion) for 240 years*.

Good luck with that. Peaceful separation kind of like well governed anarchy.

I believe they were called ordinances of secession by the original secessionists.
Interesting, thanks. I thought those (ordinances) would be “town rules” or the like, rather than a declaration by a bunch of States.

And I add the surest way to change these maps is to ensure he fails. His policies are insane.
Sorry. That’s not possible. Cheato can destroy the entire Country and his idiots will applaud. He can kill everyone in it until there is nobody left but two trumpsuckers, and they’ll thank him.
The only thing Trump can do that will make his suckers unhappy is DIE.
And that’s what he needs to do - soon, before he tries to cancel the ‘28 elections.

In addition, there are Blue pockets in Red states and Red pockets in Blue states. So even if possible, secession solves nothing.

In general, urban areas are blue and rural areas are red.

The real tricky part are the suburbs which are infested by reds and blues.

I'd write my Senator, but one is part of the problem in JD Vance and will be replaced by Dewine. The other is Moreno who hates Government involvement in business... except the Chips Act which is directly involved in the Intel plant being constructed in New Albany, Ohio.

It would look more like Pakistan/India, I think.

Which makes separation difficult

Well, it is only kind of an opinion. Reactionaries get ignored when they get all reactionary.
Whereas moderates and collaborators are remembered fondly for generations. The real heroes are the ones who provide easy justifications for shutting up and letting it happen.
Advocating a solution that is ridiculously unviable isn't creating a solution or being a hero. Telling that people it isn't viable isn't being a collaborator.

That’s very true. I live in a deep red state. Virtually all of my neighbors voted for Harris. My county went heavily blue. Republicans can’t win local elections here, except for mayoral positions in the lily white suburbs.

It also illustrates a fundamental problem of the first attempt at secession. It was driven by a slave power oligarchy and was opposed by the non slave owning peoples. Every confederate state had a Union regiment with the exception of South Carolina. Whole areas of the south rebelled. Especially in the less slave holding areas, and in Appalachia in particular. West Virginia seceded and became a new state.
